As you can see, I changed the name of this blog to snarkasmiccomics! That is because I made an account dedicated completely to my art blog because side blogs are horrible, horrible things. Majors studio assignment: The Wadsworth-Longfellow House.

Basically we're doing a fun little booklet for the Wadsworth Longfellow historical house in Portland Maine which was the home of the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. My spread is a little comic of  Henry's wife, Fanny, who (according the the stories) visited the house once and then stayed at a hotel for all the consecutive visits. Nobody knows why, but it can be guessed that the lack of indoor plumbing  (Henry's sister, Anne, kept the house in the same condition with the intention of preserving it) had something to do with it.

Dinah in Wonderland Spreads! This was a convoluted concept I had for a class assignment to do a long project based on Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland. Basically, Dinah (Alice’s cat) goes to wonderland, and instead of finding animals dressed as people, she finds people dressed as animals. That’s it. That’s the whole concept. Also, it’s supposed to look like an old timey silent movie, and the circular frames reinforces the idea of being down the rabbit hole, I guess.
