Alright making a new pinned post. This all is for ask blog info! Since the site is a bit more unwieldy. and I want to encourage people sending asks.

First off. Welcome to Old Gods Asks an ask blog which is based around a collaborative comic made by @thecrystalmountainsystem and various friends. (Who are all credited on the parts they make.)

Artists that have shown as of making this post are Dinnartz and @tyrannobro

This blog takes place in a... Lets say pokemon adjacent world. The only pokemon that can be seen here are Fairy types (Lesser Magicals) , dragon types (Draconids) and a select few legendaries (Gods). Fairy types are created via the overflowing energies from the weather trio. And dragon types are those who are blessed by Rayquaza.

The story itself takes place in an alternate version of hoenn following maxie , Vitomir, And archie and any other people they meet along the way. Though All characters are open for asks.

This is all a prequel to our other blogs @hiddenswordscomic (on hiatus on tumblr.) and @eseninhoenn (hasn't been properly made feel free to follow it though for when I actually start it.)

Other pokemon have shown up through alternate means which is spoken about in story.

No NSFW asks.

Seeing as most of the cast is queer. Please respect everyone pronouns and such. No LGBTQ+phobia On that note since this blog is run by a Mixedorigin system and one of the characters is endogenic. Antiendos are not welcome here.

When it comes to asks. Anyone can send asks. Legendary , pokemon, human or other. But if it is from a creature that doesn't normally exist in this world the characters will usually refer to them as fallers/Travelers. Which they arn't unfamiliar with due to a certain creature.

Any type of interactions is allowed, we welcome Rp, Mail, and magic anons. Go wild. Just know you won't influence the comic in the momment any posts are treated as during breaks between pages. the ask portions are considered seperate from the story itself. But there may be events and subplots within things going on outside the comic.

As time goes on i may wind up introducing more characters via asks because some won't nessesarily be covered by the comic/ won't for a long time.

Added note: your art piece does NOT have to be digital art! It can be traditional! As long as it's something that can visually be observed it's acceptable! This includes: self-made plushies, clay sculpts, colored pencil drawings, acrylic paintings, etc.

** This much should be obvious (and it hasn't been an issue so far but I feel still should be stated to be safe) AI IS NOT ACCEPTED. Generative AI for references, gifted artwork, etc is NOT ALLOWED and will result in an immediate and PERMANENT ban from this event.

2) Please do not join if you don't feel you can complete your gift art in the allotted time.

3) Those who are bigoted, racist, LGBTQ+ phobic or similar are NOT welcome. This blog is one about love. We DO NOT welcome those who are hateful.

4) If something comes up and you need to drop out, that's ok! But please let us know with plenty of time (at LEAST 48 hours) so we can message a pinch hitter to help out!

Wereverse PerfectWorld

Alright part two! Oh hey thats why the celebi tag was there Anyway so if anyone dosn't know anything about the wereverse. (or even if you do.) it is called that because a large portion of the population is shapeshifters (there are three different types of shapeshifters our dear lysandre here is a draconid which typically correlate to the various dragon clans . and our dear sycamore is a werepokemon. as noted by the two werespikes on his head. We're going to ask for patience from anyone who may yyy be a little confused having seen my other works in this verse. since we am posting this before season 2 starts in hidden swords not everything may be clear yet. :). so hang in there a few pages. on either comic.

Also LYSANDRE A LOT OLDER in this au. Zygarde typicaly up to a millennia . though he is relativly young for one. As confirmed here he is over a century old. and also is directly decended from AZ rather than his brother

Why DO Pokémon only have a maximum of two evolutions in a line, anyway?

it mostly has to do with the payoff of evolution.

evolution is an energy-intensive process, and evolved forms often require larger territory and more resources to sustain themselves. many wild pokemon never evolve, because the resources available to them mean that staying unevolved gives them a greater chance of survival. evolution can help a pokemon defend its territory better, secure more mates, and give it success in hunting larger prey, but the pokemon needs to be able to sustain itself.

the more a pokemon evolves, the more its resource needs increase. it's not that it's necessarily impossible for a pokemon's evolutionary line to extend beyond two extra stages (although some evolutionary researchers theorize that most pokemons' genetic structure just can't fit that much information); it's just that after two evolutions, the pokemon would probably be looking at diminishing returns. without the pressure to develop further evolutionary stages, and potential repercussions to keep evolving, there's just been no reason for a pokemon to keep evolving that far.

All the time humans spend rushing to and fro during this season, most are obsessed with buying gifts and wrapping them for their holiday cheer. But do they truly understand why they do it, or has it simply become a formality? One would hope they remember the deeper reason, rather than just expecting something in return.

The act of giving out of the kindness of your heart is something some say should come naturally, but the world constantly reminds us that's not the case. Yet this time of year, most try to break that cynical rule of the world and say, "I will give something nice to someone," whether a friend, a coworker, or even a stranger who might need a little pick-me-up.

One would hope they do it not just to feel like a good person, but to actually be one: giving without expecting anything in return. To truly give is to give from the heart, a gift that brings someone more than fleeting happiness, but lasting joy. Joy in knowing someone cared enough to think of them, to take time or spend hours of hard-earned labor (from full-time jobs or part-time gigs) because they simply felt moved to do so.

Some say it should be natural, but it isn't that simple. You have to make a conscious choice. You can give to benefit yourself, but it's far harder, and far more meaningful, when you know you won't gain much at all.

As the saying goes, "It's the thought that counts." And maybe that's just enough.

To quote a certain figure from a certain circus-like corner of the digital plane of existence: "It's not natural; it's intentional." Giving without expecting anything in return truly isn't natural, but that's okay. The world is full of oddities, and I think this type is a good one. The joy of giving without expectation is not instinctive, but it is deliberate and intentional.

To give to someone, you often need to love yourself enough to extend that care outward. Of course, you can still give without much self-regard, but even then, you cared enough to want to brighten another's day. And that's just fine.

It doesn't have to be expensive or from a fancy store. You simply had enough love in your heart, for yourself and others, to share some with a person who might not even realize they needed it. Kindness goes a long way, and even the smallest bit of love can alter someone's path in life.

So, past all the pretty lights and shimmering decorations, the carols being sung, the cookies being baked, the fruitcakes being eaten (or left as pretty decorations), just remember: Giving from the heart seeks nothing back, no accolades, no praise, no awards. It's you deciding to give or do something to make another's day a little more cheerful. You didn't wait for Santa to deliver it; you did it yourself.

As weird as that might seem to some, it doesn't matter, because you gave, and hopefully it put a smile on their face. It's okay if it's not perfect; the world isn't perfect. Sometimes that's what makes it better.

And as cliché as it's been said countless times over the years: "It's the thought that counts." Those thoughts you acted on, or chose not to suppress. The thought of doing something unkind didn't happen. The thought to keep going, to give to someone else. The person you blessed wants to pass on the sentiment.

That's the beauty of giving from the heart: It tends to be secretly infectious. You may never know, but your gift or action creates a ripple effect. Others pass it on; it may not be immediate, but eventually it spreads. Who knows, it might loop all the way around back to you.

Whether you celebrate the holidays or not, sometimes a simple "hello" or small gesture is good enough. Here's hoping the season reminds us to give, not to receive, to spread joy and brighten someone's world, not for accolades or appreciation, but just because. It's a bit weird, but wonderfully so.

OKAY YES THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE PARTS ive decided to not make these all long things so :D but so have some perfect world shipping art about stories you wont normally hear about in the wereverse <3 idk how much of it im going to get into it but i do have a 12 pages document about the idiots. but so this is all gonna be sketched and blocked in flats nothing else. because dont have time for a full comic. but it is a fun excersize in worldbuilding.

Hello! My name is vito and I am a scientist who does research particularly in crossbreeds of pokemon and how they interact and how their heritage influences their later evolution.

I am messaging to inform you that I am interested in the treecko/slowpoke which you have shown that is currently open for adoption. With some information on this mon I would love to be able to raise them.

Always glad to see someone interested in taking in a pokemon in need.

Our little Treeko-poke friend here is well...not the fastest car on the street, but he is pretty curious about things, and seems pretty intelligent, just not the fastest as processing what's happening around it.

Its not too speedy either, kind of goes against a Treeko's nature, but its a bit mkre bukly now.

He's really just a chill pokemon who likes to be in the know of stuff.

Perhaps there could be more in store for it when he evolves. He just needs the right trainer that can be patient with him.

Due to some life circumstances, I will NOT be running my usual Christmas Card event this year. However, I will run this one for a change of pace.

Requirements for entry are the following:

You must APPLY before November 22nd. Your recipient will be handed out the following day.

You MUST submit your gift by December 24th. Any late entries must be spoken of at least before Dec. 20th please.

Anyone who has not submitted their gift by this date will in turn not receive theirs until your gift is submitted to prevent anyone acting in bad faith.

ANY blog types are welcome to apply, including written blogs, of any skill level, but try and put your very best into your entries in the time you have.

Requirements for submissions are the following:

A fully coloured piece with at least a minimalist background and at least one full body character for art entries. Shading IS optional but try and at least do minimal shading if manageable.

At least 1000 words with proper paragraphs and grammar / spelling corrections for written blogs. You can write more, but that is the minimum.

For mixed entries, 700 words plus one flat coloured piece will be fine.

From what I have heard you were once fully human. If you don't mind answering, I was wondering what it was like for you, to become something else. Do you resent the gods of your world? Or are you grateful for the power they gave you?”

Padma seemed surprised to see another rayquaza and even more surprised by how big she was seeing as she compltly dwarfed him. But not completly bothered by the fact. "It's rare we get travelers. much more so others of my kind." he thought about the question mulling over the idea for a momment.

"When I was human. The world was very different from what it is now. Humans were only found in small pockets. Small tribes who seldom interacted. I yearned to spread my wings beyond that small place for as long as i could could remember" he stopped breifly as if. In deep thought. his mind seeming to contemplate something. "I Was born into an era of turbulance though one where groudon and kyogre would wake up.. and I was the first brave mortal.. or perhaps stupid mortal considering "Lesser Magical" training wasn't common practice... and still isn't. But back then. I knew no trainers while now I can cound maybe a hundred over my lifetime. But I was the first to try to communicate with these Gods. To even divert their path. so that we wouldn't be crushed under the disasters." he had snarled at the thought. his taill giving away the bit of iritation at them. Seemingly annoyed with Groudon and kyogre's antics.

"I resent the fact they would have such disreguard for the lives of the mortals they claim to watch over... In their own petty feuds against each other. and my attempts to Placate them got me here.They turned me into this to help mediate them. to be the bridge between the mortals and immortals.. But overall I prefer being a Rayquaza. As I am I can watch over this world and care for the descendants of my original family. Spread the cherished draconic gift. and protect this world untill my successor is born." He seemed sullen at that last sentence though. As if something was bothering him. but didn't give. Instead he switched the topic. "Though thats enough About me. What about you. Did you ascend in your world as well? Persumably not as a human though. As There seems to be less of a human draconic connection in other worlds." (OOC .
