Imagine if Commander Fox is on Coruscant specifically for his People Skills. Like yeah his accuracy with every gun he touches is 100% and no one can beat him at hand to hand combat and his tactics are inspired but the second that little batard opens his mouth you know everyone within earshot is gonna be nodding along like ‘yeah he’s got a point’. So the kamanoains are brainstorming on how to make their products look good and most of the clones have never had a real conversation with someone who isn’t a clone and their only option is The Popular Kid.

So they send him to Everuone Is Lying To You land and Fox is fucking thriving. Not only does he get to have intellectually challenging conversations, but it’s with people whose entire job is to argue. He can talk to SO MANY PEOPLE and absolutely no one knows Anything about clones so that’s another bonus. Little chatterbox living the dream.

I love this so much. I am so used to seeing Fox depicted at the bastard of the batch that all i can imagine is that he is a mix of both. He is a lying lier who lies, but he is also genuenly chatty and loves talking with people.

His batch are just constantly warning people about Fox and then they actually meet the asshole and he turns out to be the sweetest, and most stimulating conversation they have had in years.

Rex: I have known Fox for a long time. He is a talented, smart and capable Commander. But I worry about how he will fare being surrounded by Senetors who don't even see the clones as sentient beings :(

Anakin, who just got off a holocall with Padme where she ranted for a solid hour about how "the brilliant Marshal Commander" intrupted some random asshole senator's hallway tirade about how the war was impacting his space-golf trips by yapping about the desenitization and dehumanization of the victims of war rhetoric that is popularized among the masses least effected and how it has serious, long lasting moral implications for a solid 2 hours (and every senetor was actually listening and paying attention!) : you know, I think he'll be fine.

Fox: *goes on a 4 hour long convo/rant about growing up on Kamino and the culture the clones created and Psychological and Sociological themes associated with a new society of people being created and the clans that have sprouted in the forms of the different batalians and their paint colors* And thats why the Vode are the way they are :)

Wolffe: *embarrassed flush and hiding his face*

Fox: I appreciate the offer, and the unintential blackmail you have just gifted me, but i will have to decline, like i meantioned earlier about the significance of the battalian clans, they- *continues speech for another hour*

I live in a really great emotional space where I could not care less what you believe about commander Fox because they are all fun and cool to me. You think he was in sidious’s pocket the whole time and is evil and killed fives for fun? The drama! Send me the one shot. You think sidious is using weird ass Sith magic on him to the point where he can barely remember anything sidious tells him and he’s such a husk of a man he doesn’t even know what he’s doing anymore? Wow incredible tell me more. You think he’s a good guy who hates sidious and would kill him with a stapler if given the opportunity? Yeah love that can’t wait to read the rest. First two images: Playing around with the official Taung design. I was trying to tweak it so the inspiration for the Mandalorian helmet/armor is a bit more visible. In the official art, the Taung are only grey in color, but for fun I headcanon they had chromatophores in their skin like cuttlefish/octopus/squid to help them camouflage, communicate, intimidate enemies, etc.

Third image: A few doodles of Legends/EU Mand’alore with face paint as a little nod to the original Pict inspiration for Mandos. (Goran Beviin technically wasn’t the official Mand’alor…but he stood in as the acting Mand’alor while Boba had his various identity crises and disappeared for years at a time. So he counts. To me.)

it would be really funny if, before the clone wars, the galaxy as a whole just. didn’t believe that Jedi were fighters. if they saw the agricorps, medicorps, etc and went “I bet the knights are just for show, right? Since they need a show of power in order to do their real job of peacekeeping?”

and what would be even MORE funny is if it drove mandalorians fucking INSANE
