When you shine a black light on the underbelly of a southern dwarf flying squirrel (the species of nocturnal squirrel seen above), it makes the squirrel's underbelly appear fluorescent pink? Neat little critters, aren't they?

What I love about the gray man series is how much it makes fun of macho men, but also lets Court cry, like a lot. He doesn’t get angry at himself for crying either, he just does because he’s overwhelmed by something or injured, scared, whatever.

It would’ve been much easier to make him a simple macho man character, but instead he’s got depth and nuance.

Also most of the time when he’s crying, it’s around women, where the woman in the scenario is level-headed and he’s overwhelmed with emotion and needs a second to get moving again. I just think it’s sweet and unique.

He also calls women a “mystery” given he had no mother or sister to get close to, so he ends up opening up to women MUCH faster than he does with any other character.

Okay, so Rocky is a gremlin. Just like any engineer would be if you force them to work with others or deal with people's stuff.

Ryland is way worse, tho, he's a little troll that has no limits or any rage bait restrictions . He's unstoppable and merciless, he called a man a staggering waste of carbon (I still think it's one of the most hilarious things about him.)

But Colt is litterally a copy of Grace. They're twins, they both share that menace for society gene. He can just as easily poke at people's faces while calling them names that would offend no less that Ryland's insults. He was bullshitting Ryder about nutrition, come on!

The point is, all three of the have their field of expertise in which they can crush people's self esteems and prides. And they won't apologize for it, not unless they will genuinely start liking the person they offended. So yeah…

And now there's Court. Who has to keep an eye on this circus and these monkeys. All while trying to keep Claire from learning all the worst from her uncles and alien Ryland brought. He can be a little shit too. He demanded a normal seat before being shoot in a leg, yep. But somehow he has a better understanding of the situation. And he knows that during interplanetary convention you can't call humans a leaky space blobs, Rocky. Or that you can't throw a microscope into the wall if you don't like the test results, Ryland. Or that you can't teach a teen girl how to ride a motorbike, Colt.

Sometimes Court just takes a little pause, trying to drink some coffee, only to realize that something already happend and now he needs a shot of whiskey and three cages where he can lock his idiots up (lovingly. really. he's not lying. maybe...)

World leaders begin panicking and scrambling for answers, but the death rate just keeps climbing.

Until one night, on Stratt's Vat, in the middle of the Antarctic, Eva Stratt wakes up to a gun pressed against her forehead, and a cold, murderous voice asks:

I have only glanced at the tip of the iceberg of the hit movie Drive 2011 starring Ryan Gosling, and have only heard about how apparently dudebros and incels idolise Driver and read him as this emotionless macho man and man, I don’t want whatever they’re sniffing. Because to me, he’s very much a sad wet cat of a man with glaringly autistic traits.

just wanted to say i rewatched fall guy today on a plane and thought of you and your art and was cheesing really big the whole movie! i'm sure I looked unhinged to my seat neighbors but such is the price one must pay </3

and then I went to the library and fall guy was the FIRST movie I saw (so i of course checked it out. can't wait to watch it again!) I love fall guy, both entirely on its own and with the premise of the coltland world, and your art and what you've talked about with colt's character and the movie in general has definitely helped me appreciate it even more :")

Colt’s fascinating trait of having explosive angry screeches and being relatively calm and collected afterwards makes me think he’s the type to drive around singing to music casually, maybe even getting into it and boogieing, and then someone makes the wrong move on the road and he lets out a sudden SCREECH OF CURSING AND PURE RAGE before chilling out and singing quietly to himself again.

Jody nearly jumps out of her skin the first time she heard him do that.

I know it's impractical, but I would love to see a fanfiction or fanart where Stratt's crew keeps piling in the various Gosling characters because they keep thinking it's Ryland. Like nope... That's his twin brother Colt... Oh my, that's his older brother Court... Guys... He's already in the ship, oh boy... There goes another one. Ok, that's just a random driver, he had nothing to do with this.
