How to Finish
I drew this poster for Jon Acuff and his FINISH book tour. Big thanks to Jon for this collaboration, his book has some great ideas about how to complete creative and life goals.
Love this, but reblogging it specifically for âGet rid of secret rules.â Thatâs one of the most amazing illustrationsâand pointsâIâve ever seen.
so important especially for perfectionists who procrastinate and never finish, or even start because they set such high standards for themselves.

I know that many people are worried about the Coronavirus, but facing this difficult situation, we must be calmer than ever. Donât let the virus, the fear or the anxiety turn us into who we are not.
Donât let people use corona virus to excuse xenophobic attacks on Chinese people, or truth be told on any Asians (as most racist and xenophobic people canât tell the difference)ïżŒ

REPOST : Roman stylus 70AD, in comon vanacular translates into âi went into the city and all i bought you was this lousy penâ , link and full translation in the comments [640 x 320]
Fucking screaming, shitty souvenirs havenât changed a bit in almost 2000 years
From Planet Knowledge:Â
The inscription has been painstakingly examined and translated by classicist and epigrapher Dr Roger Tomlin. It reads:
âab urbe v[e]n[i] munus tibi gratum adf(e)ro acul[eat]um ut habe[a]s memor[ia]m nostra(m) rogo si fortuna dar[e]t quo possem largius ut longa via ceu sacculus est (v)acuusâ
âI have come from the City. I bring you a welcome gift with a sharp point that you may remember me. I ask, if fortune allowed, that I might be able (to give) as generously as the way is long (and) as my purse is empty.â In other words: the stylus is a gift to remind the recipient of its sender; the sender acknowledges that it is a cheap gift and wishes that they could have given more. Its tongue-in-cheek sentiment is reminiscent of the kinds of novelty souvenirs we still give today. It is the Roman equivalent of âI went to Rome and all I got you was this penâ, providing a touching personal insight into the humour of someone who lived nearly 2000 years ago.

I get that being frozen for 100 years is a tough thing to go through but honestly Aang should have used it for comedy more
Katara: wow so this is Omashu
Aang: back in my day it was called weed city
Sokka: Iâm⊠pretty sure it wasnât
Aang: thatâs what the fire nation wants you to think
Bumi, the second they arrive: welcome to weed city
Sokka: what the fuck
Imagine them getting stuck in Ba Sing Se and Aang just being like, âI wonder if the sandal pit is still here.â
And everyoneâs like, âThe what?â
And heâs all, âThe sandal pit. Itâs where I buried all the sandals of people who were mean to me and my friends.â
Cut to the gaang walking around town, and Aangâs muttering about it being around here somewhere, when suddenly Toph stops and says, âThereâs a big pile of sandals about fifty feet below that cobblerâs house,â and Sokka loses his mind.
This raises the question of whether Aang is telling the truth or if Toph and Bumi just happen to have the same sense of humor as him.
May I offer a third option into the mix:
Itâs just sheer coincidence but it sends Aang hog fuckinâ wild
in the fire nation:
aang: i wonder if they still have the national fire burping competition?
sokka: okay now thatâs definitely fake
after the war
zuko: you guys canât go home youâll miss the national fire burping competition!
sokka: youâre lying, youâre definitely lying
iroh: i won seven years in a row, until those cowards banned me
