it's  times  like    these   where   he   counts   his  blessings    ,    which   were  few  and  far  between.    wandless  hand   reaches  for  hers  ,  fingers  instaneously  locking  within  hers.        this   could   happen  to   anyone  ,  even   them.    the   thought   frightens   him   but   makes   him   hold  her  closer  even  more ,   especially  with   her   being   with  child  ,   in   the  middle   of  war.       “    it's  getting  trickier ,   unfortunately.  “     he    drew   a    sigh   as   he  led   her   out  of   the  wreckage.      gathering   her   expression     his   own   softened   immensely      “   we   should  probably   get   going.    the   others  will  be  here   shortly ,  not  to  mention   likely   wanting  a   full   account  of   the   attack.     “     thumbs   soothed   over   the  skin   of   her   hands   not  yet    stowing  his  wand.    “      i'm   sorry   you  had  t'see  that.   i   could've  came  alone ,   but   i   promise   you  –  we're   safe.  “

                    soft     brown     hair     cascades     down     around     them     ,      and      draco’s       slate       grey        eyes         find       their       home         in        her’s,          but        there’s      a       touch       of       sadness        in      them,        her        fingers        running        along        the         scars          riddled        upon         his        skin        from         a         time        he        tries        to       forget.         breathe         caught        in         his        lungs          ,        cool       smooth         fingertips         against         the        deepest         of        reminders ;         and       draco         runs       a          thumb        down        her        cheek.           she          loves         him        despite        the       scars        of         icarus        that        paint        him      ;      despite      the       monster      he      was       supposed       to      be.        astoria         paints        him        like        a         masterpiece,      and         in          return         he’ll         sing         sonnets       against       her       skin.          but        for       now        his       hand        meets         hers,        pulls         it        to         his        lips       to         whisper        his         love        and         adoration         against        them.         with      her      ,         he       is       home     ;        always      home.

her   touch   is   petal - soft   against   his   skin ;     the   very   tips   of   her   fingers   tracing   over   scars   left   by   the   ghosts   of   his   past .    though   she   had   danced   just    outside    his   peripheral   back   then ,    his   world   narrowed   to   what   the   dark   lord   asked   of   him   &    his   plight   for   survival ,    astoria   can’t  seem  to   let   go   of   persistent ,   latent   anger .    he  was   just   a  child ,     a  child   forged   in   war .    he   did  not   deserve   to   be   in   such   a   position   &   she   aches  for   him .    she   aches   all   the   time .

even   as   he   takes   her   hand   in   his ,    drawing   brown   hues   to   meet   slate   grey   gaze ,    astoria   leans   in   to   brush   her   lips   against   puckered   skin .    she   hums ,   soft   &   sweet  ,   drawing   back   only   so   she   can   move   closer   to   him .     forehead  comes   to   rest   against   his   &   she   sighs ,    eyes   fluttering  closed .       ❛         I  wish . . .           ❜       I  wish   I  could  have   stood   at   your  side .    I  wish   I  could  have   protected  you .    I  wish  I  could  have  held  your  hand  &  covered  you  in  my  persistent  &  everlasting  love .       ❛         I  love  you .   I  suppose  that’s  what  matters  now,  isn’t  it?           ❜

 his   wand   was   outstretched   in   front  of   him   lit  as    he   examined   the   aftermath   of   what   appreared   to   be  another   death  eater  invasion ,   other  dimly  lit   lights   circling  the   various  rooms   of   the  residence ,  and  it’s   perimters.     he   assumed   the   house   had  been   well  protected   prior   to   the  incident ,   as    far   as   frank   could  see.     various   signs  of   struggle   evident  ,   it   took   a   lot   to   break   any  enchantments.     “  whoever   lived   here   put   up   a  good   fight   before   they   came  knocking ,  “   he   murmured   to   his  wife ,   his   shoe  nudging     at   some   broken   glass   littering   the  floor.     he   had    a   look  of   grief and   weariness   in  his   eyes   as    they  scanned   the  main  room   of   the   house.           “   i   reckon  mad-eye   will   be  in   contact  with   their   family   to  deliver   the   news.    “   

this   bit   never   gets   any   easier :   poking   around   an   innocent   family’s   home   / / /    standing   amongst    ransacked    belongings   &   piecing    together    the   sordid   tale   of   what   happened   before   the   owners   drew   their   last    breath .   alice’s   usual   energy    evaporated   the   moment   they   entered   the   home ,     her   expression   now   burdened   by   grief   &    latent   rage .         ❛         appears   so ,           ❜       she   murmurs ,    hand   straying   to   rest   against   the   gentle   swell   of   her   stomach  .      almost   absentminded   about   the   way   she   touches   her   pregnant   belly ,    brows   pulling   together   as   she   studies   the   scattered   books   &   various    trinkets .       ❛           ———————    I   don’t   envy   the   task .     if   we   could   just   learn   their   pattern ,      stop   these   attacks  .  .  .         ❜

  the   shiver   descended    from     the   trajectory   of   her  fingertips  ,  down   his  spine  to   his  toes.        she   knows   what   she's   doing   and   she's   taking  delight  in   it ,   evident  from  the   way   she  grins  up  at   him.       he's  a   love  struck  fool   for  her ,    unabashedly.          “   yeah    ?  “   he  murmurs   as   she   reels   him   in   like   a   fish  on   a  hook  ,   his   grip   at   her    waist   offering   a   squeeze.      he  siezes   the  opportunity   to   lean   in   and   plant   one  on   her   ,   lips  capturing  hers   blissfully.        “   tell   me   more  ‘bout   your  day ,  “   he  spoke  against  her  mouth  ,  tip  of  his  nose  nuzzling  into  hers   softly.        

his   question   is   met   by   soft   hum;       after   an   entire   day   apart,     she   isn’t    keen    on    putting    even    the    smallest    distance    between    them .      her    touch     remains     feather - light     as    she    draws    him     closer ,      lips    moving    languidly ,     slowly    against    his .     tongue   brushes   teasingly    along    his    bottom    lip    &     she    sighs ,     wanting    nothing    more    than    to   get    lost    in    this     man .          ❛           I   spent   most   of   the    day    in     the     library   with    lily .    potions    homework  .        ❜      nose   wrinkles    as    lips   ghost   along    his    jaw ,     still    entirely    unwilling    to     pull     away     / / /    any    onlooking    housemates    be   damned .       ❛           ———————    dreadful .        ❜      earlier    sentiment    is     repeated    as     lips    press    to    his    pulse    point ,     before     forehead    comes    to    rest    sweetly     against    his  .       ❛           tell    me    about    yours .    pay   special    attention    to     how    horribly     you    missed    me .     spare    no   details .        ❜

                           fingers       ghost       over       pale        cool         skin,         finding        refuge       under       her       jaw,          where       he       tilts         her           chin        up,         getting         lost        in         every        single       part        that       is       his        wife.          emmett        breathes,          consumed         by          rose  ,           leaning        in        to        capture        her         lips         in         a          kiss.          he      pours       all         of         himself        in,           years        and       years      worth          of         it.            carlisle         may         have        saved         him,            but            rosalie          did         so        in           ways            his          father        couldn’t.             a hum,       soft       and          sweet        ,          ‘’                did             you           miss          me?             ‘’  

                                even     with     an     eternity     on     their     side,     she    doesn’t     like     when     her     husband     goes     away .    he     always     returns     with     golden     hues     &     clothes     stained     crimson,     just      as     playful     and     eager     to     put     his     hands     on     her     as     before ,       but     while     he’s     gone ,     she     feels . . .      off - center     &     tense .       ready    to    snap    at    anyone    who     dances     too      close .         so,     not     that     different     from      her     usual     temperament ,       just    without     emmett’s    steadying     presence     pressed     to     her     side .           ❛     almost    as     much     as     you    missed     me ,     ❜      she      sighs      into      the     kiss ,     corners    of    her    lips     lifting     with     muted      smile .       digits      curl     in     his     positively     ruined     shirt ,     tugging    his    body     closer    to     her    own .          ❛      I    hate    when    you’re    away .     ❜

                    he’d likely had the easiest transition from human to vampire in his family, and while that of course was partly due to his light-hearted personality, rosalie played the largest part. it was easy to adjust to being “ damned ” when you have an angel with you, after all. his arms slid around her waist, mindful of his extra strength as he held her tightly against him.  ‘ i like when you tell me i’m right,  ’  he said, chest rumbling with laughter. she had been right about being dirty, as grease smeared on the shoulders of his new shirt. ah, alice would probably be mad at him.  ‘ who would mind when the reward is so sweet?  ’  to prove his point, he leaned down and brushed his lips against hers, nose playfully nudging hers.

                      golden   hues   roll   as   she   leans   into   him,    a   dainty   hand   coming   to   settle   against   the   curve   of   his   neck .       rare    for    ‘ you’re  right ’   to   tumble   from    painted     lips ,      and   certainly   never   for    anyone’s    ears   but   emmett’s .      she’s    much   too    proud    for   that .        ❛      alice   might,    when   she    sees   your    shirt,     ❜      she   murmurs,     lips   curling    at    the    edges    as    she   kisses    him    back    softly .    not   that   their   siblings’   ire   has   ever   stopped   them   before .      after   all,    it   was   unquestionably   their   fault   several   of   the   family’s   past   houses   unexpectedly   met   their   demise .        ❛      ----------     now   kiss   me   like   you    mean   it   before    I    go    back    to   paying    attention     to     your     jeep     instead  .     ❜

health update under the cut!!

so, some of you may be aware i’ve been having a lot of health problems lately. passing out, anemia, blood pressure astronomically high and then extremely extremely low, sleeping all the time, etc. I’ve been undergoing testing almost constantly for two months (and it’s ongoing, I have a sleep study in a few weeks) 

today I had a cardiac test & I had an appointment to go over all of my test results so far. as it turns out, I’m currently on the verge of having a stroke because my blood pressure has been so high for a period of time now. They think it’s a byproduct of a medication I was on, so we dropped the meds and are monitoring my bp. I’ve been told to stay calm for the next two weeks while the meds work their way out of my system and we’ll see if I get better then 

in addition, I have absolutely no testosterone & my thyroid is majorly underperforming. as soon as I can get my blood pressure back down, we are starting me on a thyroid medicine & on a testosterone cream. i’m really hoping these work for me because they could be life-changing & really help with my anxiety 

I also have really low iron & vitamin d, so we’re starting supplements for those immediately. vitamin d is also really tied to mood, so hopefully I start feeling better and I get my life back ♥♥

                         his smile grew, as if he guessed what she was thinking. a large hand moved to wrap around her waist, seeking more contact with her.  ‘ hmm.. ’  he pretended to consider that for a moment.  ‘ i can’t think of a single time, ’  he finally continued, tone just as teasing as hers. her mood seemed to have lifted at least a little, and he allowed himself to feel a bit pride; though that was an emotion he already felt at least five times a day.  ‘ and when have i ever had a problem with getting dirty?  ’  he replied suggestively, that word surely bringing at least a few provocative scenes to mind.  ‘ my hair is yours to do whatever you want with it. ’

she’ll    no    doubt    live    another   thousand   years    &    still    never    understand  what    she    did   to    deserve    this    man .     with    his    hand    on    her    hip    &    knowing     smile     on     his     lips,     emmett    manages    to     make    the    annoyance   inside    their    home    seem   almost    inconsequential .       almost .      ❛      mmm ,    you’re   right ,     ❜     she   admits ,      spine    straightening    as    she    abandons   her   work    on    his   jeep .     instead ,    grease - stained    arms    come    to     settle    around   his   neck ,     the     length    of    her    body    invading    his   space    &    pressing    close    to     his   chest .        ❛      you’ve   never   minded   getting    dirty    --------     in     every    sense    of      the    word .    ❜
