Modern day Remus Lupin would still be going about life with a Walkman in his pocket, old staticky headphones on, and the sole mixtape Sirius made for him that one time.
And conveniently, for no one at all, this is the tracklist.
to describe lily evans is to limit lily evans

Jily are one of those rare Lovers that make each other better humans, they make each other sensible for topics the other one Never would have thought deeply about, they help each other with their emotions and take care of each other on such an genuine deep level and they listen to each other - they find so much growth and validation in the other one, they wanna be the best possible version of themselves trough their relationship and later trough their son. More concrete examples: both of them learn to apologise for their mistakes better, they start reflecting themselves and their feelings (not that they didn’t do that before, but they learn to deal with their fury and their strong sense of justice, hero complexes and all) (this also happens trough the war but definitely also trough their relationship). Lily shows class consciousness to James on a whole new level and James makes Lily aware of so many injustices in the wizarding world, that she always just took as given. and when Harry comes along this just gets even more because they wanna be the best version of themselves for him.
also Sirius with his home situation and Remus with his lycanthropy play a big role in them maturing and developing the views they have but that’s a whole other thing.
lily wouldnt ever listen to taylor swift because shes a billionaire and fuck billionaires
A very central part of Sirius's character is that he has suffered a great injustice that has marginalised him from the society. From what we know, he has been this charming and intelligent young man who gets his whole life ripped away from him because of the flaws in justice system. Even when he fights himself out, he spends the rest of his life hiding from authorities, either homeless or stuck inside a house he hates. He never got to experience the peacefull years - he went from fighting one war to another. All of this affect what we see about him in the books and how other people talk about him (mainly that he is unstable and can't be trusted).
When I think about characters like Remus and Regulus, they usually get to keep their central themes even when playing around with AUs. Muggle AU Remus may not be a werewolf, but usually this gets swapped out to a chronic illness that marginalises him. Regulus's politics get changed, but he still gets to do some kind of great sacrifice like in canon - like staying behind in Grimmauld Place so that Sirius can get out or pretending to be dead for some noble cause.
Modern/Muggle AU Sirius only gets to be a rich trust fund kid. Somehow this seems to be his central theme in so many people's minds, a thing that you can't take away from him.
Lily and James 🌹🪄🦌
Oh save me Auror Potter save me 😓
mike call ur fuckin uber
Okey, you just don't know how happy has this post made me
I don't think people who don't like Jily get Lily like I do because she was abandoned by two of the people she loved the most in the world: her big sister, Petunia, who gave up on her just because she was different and was most definitely envious of her, and her childhood best friend, Severus, who she had always found comfort in when things weren't right but ultimately chose his blood supremacy beliefs over their shared love and pain. And then there's James Potter, who despite everything (despite Lily purposely pushing him away for years) never gave up on her. Instead, he grew into the kind of person who could stand by her side. Even until the end, he gave up his last breath to defend her and their son because he loved her more than life itself. And that’s why Jily is so wonderful: because James was everything Lily needed but never thought she’d have.
