it’s crazy to me how quick someone is willing to believe the guys point of view and completely discredit the girls.

Now with Conrad’s point of view, I see a bunch of people calling Belly an “unreliable narrator” or saying she “gaslit the audience”

But never considering that Conrad is technically also a unreliable narrator. This is from his perspective. It doesn’t make what he felt or saw more right than how belly interpreted everything.

At the end of the day, what isn’t said and understood clearly, isn’t fact ( and even what is)

Reed Richard’s didn’t have to tell the truth when they came back to earth…

but in their retrofuturistic world, people told the truth, even when it was uncomfortable, and because of that the citizens had so much trust in the fantastic four enough to implement a curfew on electricity.

They trusted Sue when she said “I will not sacrifice my baby for the world, and I will not sacrifice the world for my baby”

People are willing to work together and listen to scientists. That’s crazy

as if this Lex Luthor who is totally obsessed with Superman wouldn’t want to clone him and have his baby

hearing all the conservative backlash for the movie Superman made me expect that they flat out was obvious about “liberal points” but then watching the movie and it’s just Superman, an alien immigrant, being targeted by Lex Luthor, a man who sells weapons to countries and is trying to take over a country and be king, which is non arguable a bad thing, and Superman saving dogs and squirrels and trying to limit public destruction and saying everyone is human?

it feels like the conservatives are just telling on themselves now if they think lex luthor is right.

Sinners was an incredible movie, Ryan Coogler did his thing and more, I have no critiques, the metaphors and symbolism was incredible.

HOWEVER, in terms of survival, could we have like, invited and unalived the vampires one by one instead of all at the same time? Like I would’ve said, “yall we just learned of their existence, I run a convenience store, let’s take this slow” 😅

did I love the new thunderbolts movie, yes.

would have I appreciated added a Natasha scene in there somehow even if it was a younger actress playing Natasha and yelena in the flashback, absolutely.

to add on to my rant of the Percy Jackson show’s problem on not knowing when to tell and when to show:

the bead necklace

to those consuming the show for what it is, and not outside sources, it made no sense.

( I know it has a big meaning in the books) but like I said, it was a moment that was supposed to mean something, but it wasn’t set up once in the whole show. so it meant nothing.

annabeth surprising Luke because she was invisible.

The first time in the whole show that we see Luke and annabeth interacting in the same scene was in this episode, before that we really don’t

1. See their relationship

2. See her having a reason to doubt him

which is a shame because I would’ve loved to have those small moments or clues of her figuring it out .

my roomate pointed out the dialogue as well, instead of saying “I heard everything” if she skipped to the next line to something like “I trusted you” the audience would’ve understood she was there the whole time and it would’ve been more impactful.

again, I think the actors are doing a great job with what they have, the issue stems from the writing
