Not Unreality Just Another Rant About Some Corporate Nonsense
I got Little Caesars this morning and as with over half the times I do so, I got an email questionnaire on how they did. I always give the people high marks because they're always quick and friendly.
But every time they send the quiz, 5 of the 8 questions with fields to write a reply in are about the pizza portal. The pizza portal is just a heated cabinet where you punch in the order number and it opens to give you your pizza. It's always the same. It has never changed in any way through all the years I've gone there. But every single time they ask 'did it contribute to the value of your meal' and 'would you recommend it to your friends' and all this marketing-speak bullshit.
I usually reply, "Nobody outside of your corporate office thinks about the likelihood they will recommend the pizza portal to friends," because I thought maybe after sending it so many times they'd relax on the dang pizza portal that's always exactly the same.
Today I cracked. I answered, "The Little Caesars PIZZA PORTAL is my best friend and I love the PIZZA PORTAL experience and tell all my friends that it raises the VALUE of my experience at Little Caesars because the PIZZA PORTAL is so easy to use!!!"
It was amusing but now it's 1AM and I can't sleep because my partner and I are writing erotic pizza portal fanfic together about how hot it is inside and how you have to reach in so deep you get your pizza and we're just going nuts on this and I think corporate bullshit has finally broken me. I was just trying to be kind and let the company know the employees did well but they kept pushing the LITTLE CAESARS PIZZA PORTAL and now I feel like I'll never be able to maintain another erection without knowing my pizza portal code or something.
WTF Little Caesars WHY do you have to ask every time about the
LITTLE CAESARS PIZZA PORTAL???
boy she didn't hold anything back
The older i get the more i understand why some people become obsessed with privacy, not because they’re hiding something, but because being constantly perceived starts to feel spiritually exhausting.
Did you know that soda machines at restaurants and movie theaters spy on you? That most common new cars now record your sexual preferences and send it to the manufacturer (and also data about anyone who also gets in your car, walks by your car, and maybe happens to be within visual range of your car)? That grocery stores are trying to force customers to download an app to scan barcodes on shelves instead of putting up prices, so the app can scan the phone, decide how much that customer should be squeezed for, and adjust the price? That more and more innocent people are being sent to jail for crimes committed hundreds of miles away because an AI facial recognition algorithm spit their faces out and the cops didn't bother to do the most basic of checks?
I am not uptight about privacy because I'm hiding something. I'm uptight about it because the people who dismiss my right to privacy are dangerous to you and me and our families, personally, all the time.
And often, they are assholes, too.
life pro tip: if you happen to be considering purchasing an LG TV or monitor, you possibly want to pick something else! and if you have an LG monitor that has not been plugged into anything in a while, you might want to leave it that way!
if you already have an LG monitor or TV or intend to buy one, you probably want to watch this video and keep an eye on gamers nexus for updates (or anyone else covering the LG spying situation):
posted july 16 2026
LG is doing some bad things. how bad? well. here are some very brief bullet points. I am not an expert, gamers nexus is, see the video for more information than this:
LG monitors (brand new and years old, cheap and expensive) auto-install LG's own adware-spyware called LG Monitor App onto windows 10 and 11 computers. you plug in an LG monitor for video output and this gets installed automatically. no hitting OK, no confirmation, no toggles, NOTHING.
the auto-installed LG Monitor App auto-grants itself access to your internet connection and ALL computer resources. the LG Monitor App has the ability to collect: geolocation data, device data, personal information, online activity data, contact data, and more!
...and it shows pop-up ads! because fuck you
on some affected versions of windows, auto-installed shitware like the LG Monitor App can be prevented by navigating to gpedit.msc -> computer configuration -> administrative templates -> system -> device installation -> prevent automatic download of applications associated with metadata
...but, if your LG monitor already installed the LG Monitor App, this is like closing the barn door after the horse got out. and that horse has the logs of everything you were doing on your computer! someone stop that fucking horse!!!
unrelated to the LG Monitor App, many LG TV owners are now required to tell all household members and guests that their LG TV is recording and processing ALL nearby voices. or else they may be in violation of local eavesdropping and wiretapping laws. for owning a fucking LG TV.
plus, how many businesses, workplaces, public spaces use LG TVs?
allegedly the microphone spying can be turned off by disabling microphone features, but LG has been caught disregarding opt-out settings before.
LG TVs can record everything that happens on the TV, including the video output of connected devices like phones, computers, gaming consoles, anything that happens on the TV screen.
LG was sued for their spying, and as a result of that spying suit, now shows pop-ups saying oops! they got caught spying and intend to continue spying. thanks for buying LG!
as of when the video was posted, there was no list of every spying LG monitor or TV. but this stuff is getting rolled out to more and more LG devices, including those purchased years ago.
and that is the shortest summary I can make of this situation without just summarizing more of the gamers nexus video.
Update: We are working on a follow-up to the LG story and have some disturbing findings re: LG's products. It will take us a while to parse
⬆️posted july 23 2026
gamers nexus is fairly respected in technology journalism. they fly around the world investigating companies that fuck people over and have pressured major companies to make major changes over the years.
so for gamers nexus to say that this LG spying situation is both unprecedented in how uniquely bad it is in this era of spying, and that it gets even worse than their video where they already say to stop buying and using LG products while recanting every prior recommendation for LG products?
oooooofff

Now that the lead dev of silksong has publicly come out, I can share this funny story.
So, back in october I was at a monthly trans meetup just chatting with the other women there. We were talking about how all the best games are made by transfems, and I made the joke that someone from team cherry needs to transition. One of the other women cackled at my joke. At the time I didn't think anything of it.
Fast forward one month. The person who cackled at my joke brought a friend with her this time. I was chatting with this new girl for a while, getting to know her, as you do.
After like an hour of chatting, the conversation turns to silksong and team cherry. I casually say "My impression of team cherry is that they're all really chill dudes," and I swear to fucking god the girl next to me says, "Yeah, we are."
Cue me being absolutely dumbfounded. I actually couldn't believe that my offhand joke from a month ago was real.
Anyway that's how I met the lead developer of silksong.
One of the most important images of all time

Many occultists are ignorant of, or actively hostile to, notions of philosophy and are thus terrified of constructive occultism.
Building a little shrine to hecate is easy, and has its place. But consider what exactly you are praying to, it's relationship to you, and how it exists within reality, is a difficult and time-consuming task that involves (stares into the middle distance for a long moment) reading Plotinus.
people will say “they’re only friends” and then show me two people who would crawl through broken glass to hear the other laugh once. two people who have memorized each other’s coffee orders, fears, childhood stories, and emergency contacts. two people who would haunt each other’s houses as ghosts. be serious.
Just an FYI—the original intention of this post was to challenge the way people say only friends, as though friendship is somehow lesser than other forms of love. As if being deeply known, cherished, and chosen by another person could ever be a small thing. Normalize profound platonic love. Some of the most fulfilling, transformative, and enduring relationships we will ever have are friendships. 🫶🏼
pace yourself.
hey man if i told you i got this idea based off one of your posts
hellooo hope you’re doin well barley :3 anyways I saw three really realistic looking animatronics of yak/bison (dont really know how to tell the difference) at a.. spectacles store? anyways they looked really cool and moved a little bit to slightly raise their heads and blink their pretty eyes so here:
I’m wondering if an entirely white bison (yak?) happens in the wild naturally or if they usually have to have albinism to have that colouring too.
THOSE ARE SOOOOOOO EXCELLENT!!!
yes!! white bison do occur rarely in nature :) i believe theyre sacred to some native american groups? (im not american so im not sure of specifics) they are such a sight to behold! ohh how lovely...
do you have any videos of them in motion? i LOVE animatronics and taxidermy so id love to see it ..!
loving the lord of the rings so far
"queer-owned business" means nothing anymore. OpenAI and Palantir are both queer-owned businesses.
if this is how you find out that both sam altman and peter thiel are gay im sorry
I'm going to address a specific set of notes in this post (without indicating who wrote them) because it's a valuable insight into criticisms of this post. Also keep in mind broadly that this post is a JOKE it's supposed to be FUNNY. But also I'm not stupid enough to think jokes aren't a very effective way to communicate and persuade.
"This is like saying female-owned businesses mean nothing because J.K Rowling is a businesswoman". Incredibly, that's exactly what I'm saying. I applaud this critique for correctly identifying how my stance might be applied elsewhere.
But what I would ask is this: do you not remember how JKR (being a successful female author and businesswoman) was lauded as a feminist hero during the peak of the books' success which allowed her to make a large part of modern feminism incredibly TERF-y because of her influence? Because I think we should all do well to remember that.
Interestingly, this critique then goes on to make my entire point for me, albeit maybe slightly more charitably than I. It goes on to say "queer people are not a monolith" and that we should inform ourselves as to who owns these businesses. Yes! Yes! This is my point! Relying purely on identity politics to judge whether businesses (and people) are good or not is bad!
It closes out by saying big corps "don't count" when talking about queer-owned businesses. Honestly? Yeah, I agree. Most of the time, people are talking about small queer-owned businesses. That is because this post is a joke. I have applied the label of "queer-owned business" to some businesses the label is not usually applied to to point out the limits of identity politics in business.
Corporations are not your friends. Small businesses can be your friends, and they are closer to your level than Big Corporations - but that doesn't mean they always will be.
thinking about this tag on my post again. i'm saying this all the time forever
oh i'm also saying this one all the time forever
