The fact that we didn’t get to see Arya and Sansa’s reactions to Jon’s parentage is a perfect example of how actual character emotions comes second to D&D. This was big….it was Jon telling two people that he’s spent his whole life believing are his sisters about this huge, identity shaking secret that their father kept from everyone for years. We should have seen their reactions.

But they didn’t have him tell them to create any sort of character development or emotional exploration. They had him tell them just so more people would know, so Sansa could tell Tyrion and move the plot along. They treat the characters like chess pieces.

Sandor’s reaction to finding out Sansa was raped in the books is that he is devastated. He immediately gets so drunk that he almost get killed in the fight against his brother’s men. The knowledge that Sansa was violated in that way HURTS him. Because of course that’s what would happen to a sweet, proper lady like Sansa. The world is not kind to little birds. The world is fucked and innocence is stolen from all children, highborn and lowborn alike.

But he never wanted that for her. No matter what he told himself when he was being cruel to her, he never actually wanted her to lose her idealism and hopefulness.

And look, Sandor has always been crude and vulgar, but he would never say what he said to Sansa in the show-verse. Not even as The Hound would he say that. It was disgusting and beyond-the-pale and D&D should be ashamed.

Sorry but when Keanu Reeves is out here doing The Most, giving away the majority of his money to the point where he just lives in a normal house with normal stuff because he understands that he doesn’t need all of that money then how do you expect me to look at other famous people no matter how fun or nice they act and see them keeping the majority of that money and having multiple homes and outfits made out of diamonds and shit and say “its fine bc theyre nice/feminist/its in the name of Girl Power/etc”? No one should have any of that while other humans are out here dying of poverty. No excuse I don’t care who it is.

@wotsukai yeah tbh I def could’ve used a better example, I had no idea this post was gonna blow up like at all I was just complaining and it wasn’t a post I planned out, if I had I would’ve used a different example. The only reason I used her in the first place was bc I saw someone reblog one of those “guillotine the rich!” posts very recently after reblogging a Beyoncé gifset with a lyric quote about how rich she was, so that was the example that inspired the post and immediately came to mind.

But you’re absolutely right I am white and the reasoning behind Beyoncé’s success being so celebrated is completely different than that of famous white’s success that I didn’t initially think of and bc of that she probably wasn’t great to mention in the post especially without mentioning other examples.
