You know what used to upset me quite a lot when my transition was still in process? There is absolutely no support groups near where I live and I'm talking about trans support groups. I suppose there are some general LGBT+ groups but most likely the closest ones are still a one-hour train trip away. And I don't even live out in the boonies if you think that's the problem. Oh no. Granted, this is not a huge city and while it is claimed to be a (small) city, I still think this is a town. But this is the provincial center of this area so you'd think there was something. But no, nothing. If I want to find the closest trans community of sorts IRL, I gotta take the train and travel ~200 kilometers to another city. That's just bullshit. And I guess I should also mention that the train ticket prices are ridiculous, ridiculous as in expensive because fuck VR. This really used to make me upset when I was in need of some peer support. I could talk to my friends and all but you know, they can't relate to the stuff I went through. I needed someone who knew what I was talking about without having to explain everything. It did cross my mind a few times to arrange a meeting here. After all, this place is well connected, it's easy to get here by train or by bus, depending on where you're coming from. But... try to do something like when you're an anxious bundle of social awkwardness who, in general, also dislikes people by default (I really do, I'd make a great nurse). I suppose I'm a bit bitter about other cities having trans support groups when I had none to begin with. Some cities even have support groups for non-binary people, not to mention the standard LGBT+ stuff. What do I have? Friends who I love to bits but they sometimes ask the most ridiculous questions that make my head hurt. Idk, this just popped into my mind and decided to write it down for people to read (if anyone even reads my stuff, that is). While I don't really need support anymore, it's still a bit upsetting to remember there is nothing for others like me. Of course, since I'm done with my transition I could just put up a group by myself, right? Sure, I could. If I wasn't keen on keeping my stealth status alive and well. This is a small place and there's already enough people who knew me pre-transition. I don't want there to be anymore of them. I've actually been interviewed for a local newspaper regarding transgenderism and even then my name was changed and the photo didn't show my face. I really want to be stealth. But yeah, anywho. If you have a support group nearby, don't hesitate to go there. It's hard to be without one.
you are not obligated to
be someone’s counselor and help them with all their problems if its bad for your mental health
be there for someone 24/7
remain friends with someone who emotionally drains you
maintain negative relationships because you’ve been close for so long, because you’re related, or anything else
do anything that puts your health (mental or physical) at risk

purina tidy cats lightweight litter causes health problems
Purina tidy cats lightweight litter has caused serious health issues in cats. They include wheezing, bloody nose, bloody urine and respiratory problems. If you are currently using this product, please keep a close eye on your feline’s health. Please consider avoiding purchasing this product if possible as it is not worth the risk.
This isn’t the first time a Purina product has been reported to adversely affect pets, we posted earlier this year that Beneful is facing a class action lawsuit for the death of 4,000 dogs.
As parents of furchildren, we need to be more aware of the food and products we give our babies and not be blinded by big budget campaigns and advertisements from giant pet brands. They may claim to have our pets’ best interests at heart but that is not always the case.
Every single one of you, please please reblog this to help inform others.
Actually gonna reblog this to my main blog because this should get more exposure
Be careful, pet owners, this is not a hoax. Some of the Amazon reviews are painful and sickening to read, this stuff is so damaging to pets. Don’t buy it, don’t let others buy it.
Fortunately we don’t seem to have this shit here but this needs visibility so gdi I’ll reblog it.
why r white women so UGLY
I’m really adorable and I’m a white woman so your statement/question is false.
Also, my fiancée is very pretty and cute so that statement is double false.
Just a little FYI.
Despite of the tags I use I don't actually identify as trans man, trans guy, etc. My identity is fully male because I am a man. However, my medical history includes me being transgender and I have received/am receiving treatment for it. But is it part of my identity? No. There was a time - back when I was starting my transition - when I considered being trans as a part of my identity and I would've labeled myself as a trans man. But as time went on and I ventured deeper into transition and became more and more myself, I eventually ended up "updating" my identity to being just a man. And that's what I am. Just plain ol' simple man. A bit weird and all around wonky but a man none the less.
I’m here for the stealth trans people who are feeling alone and would want to reach out to the trans community, but don’t know how.
Can trans guys in Europe reblog/like this? Or reply to this ask with their country/city?
One pro of being trans in Finland is that Finnish lacks gendered pronouns and we don't really use any equivalents for sir and/or ma'am because it would make us sound pretentious af, lol.
FTM PROTIP: HOW TO BE A MAN
Be swift as a coursing river With all the force of a great typhoon With all the strength of a raging fire Be mysterious as the dark side of the moon
You mourn the loss of a daughter while I mourn the loss of a childhood I never had.

REBLOG IF YOU SUPPORT TRANSGENDER PEOPLE THAT HAVENT GOTTEN SURGERY
I’m trying to prove to my Dad that transgendered people don’t need to have surgery to be valid.
Btw.
If you have suggestions on some good ftm related blogs to follow, feel free to drop them in my ask box. I need more stuff to follow, my dash is empty af.
I really ought to do something to my awful 'stache. I can feel the hair on the sides of my mouth and it's really weird. Plus it probably looks terrible along with my sad excuse of a goatee(?). But it's all I can manage right now so the world can deal with it.
Three cheers for guys who can't grow proper facial hair even after years on T!
Apparently I was bored since I made that summary about how transition works in Finland. Except it’s really not that short.
Anywho, if you’re interested, check it out.
