Hey everyone, this is a long text post that will address our 2+ month hiatus and hopefully bring us back into the swing of things.
It's been a rough six months or so for us here at OneTruePatch. While we've been trying to get things sorted out and back on a regular schedule of updates, new designs, timely packaging and delivery, we've been having trouble keeping our heads above water. Since the end of last year, we've had a lot of rough times and heartache that have come our way. We've done our best to push through and keep making awesome products for you guys, but it's been hard to keep up with everything in our lives.
We've had a lot of support from you guys and a steady trickle of orders and for that we thank you. We've been late on some of our shipments and there have been a few times that we've really gotten behind due to the sheer amount of orders but by and large we've always been found our customers and fans to be understanding and patient. We couldn't ask for a better start to our business.
Unfortunately, our income from the business has not been able to justify putting it front and center as it deserves to be. We have had lean times for a while now and it's been impacting our ability to really make the best out of our good start. We've had a hard time coming up with the money to fix one of our machines when it went down months ago, we've had to put off restocking designs that required thread orders and we've had to shelf designs that we didn't already have the right colors on hand for. It's been disheartening for us and has slowly stalled our good momentum.
We've also suffered several losses in the last few months that have drained us emotionally, physically and financially. There have been times that we've sat down to have The Talk about whether we can sustain OneTruePatch through all of these hardships and the ones that we can already see looming on the horizon. It's been a lot to balance all of these setbacks and heartbreaks along with our 'regular' jobs and trying to give our business the best chance to grow into what we know it can be.
We really want to give it our best one more time.
We have amassed a list of custom work and commissions that we've taken on that still need to leave our shop and we will be putting all of those in the priority position along with the small backlog of orders that we've amassed in the last few weeks. We have a lot of backlogged designs sketched, some vectored, some digitized, and we really want to focus on getting those out to you soon. It's a pretty big list when all is compiled, but we'll be doing our absolute best to work through it as soon as possible.
For anyone who wants a refund, please feel free to send us a message. We aren't in a financial position at the present time to refund any large orders, but we will set aside portions from each order as necessary to refund anyone who wants one. You have been more than patient with us and we understand completely.

There will probably be a few more updates in the coming days and weeks, so be on the lookout for those. We will aim to be as transparent as possible in the process of digging ourselves out of this rut. You guys deserve that much and more.
