I think Nikola Tesla infiltrated my daughters kindergarten art class. š¤£šš¤£š
doing things at the right age is literally a made up concept. you can start/pursue anything at any age. btw.
remember remember
Im 36 and just graduated with my Bachelor's degree. I saw a post like this before I started classes and thats literally why I decided to just do it. *That time would have passed anyway*.
A little late cause holidays are crazy, but my husband NAILED my Christmas present this year!!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Summary:
Ten years. It had been nearly ten years since he had laid eyes on her, but he had thought of her every day. Of the feel of her hand in his, of the sound of her laughter, of the smile she would give him when he said something particularly clever. Ten years of regretting his choices, wishing he had a second chance. And now? Now, Nigel was handing him one. Offering him the chance to make right what he had set wrong all those years ago.
Hey guys, look. Iām writing another Sanctuary story. This one is AU though and different than anything Iāve ever written. Weāll see how it goes.Ā
itās them
Honestly, I've always kinda thought that as soon as it becomes obvious shes aging and they work out how quickly and such, that Nikola reinvents his 'de-vamper' to use when the time is right. What's the point of continuing to live without her?
omg i have no idea how i didnāt think of this but. CANON. he would 100000% do thisš„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ
Oh nooooooooo šššššššššš I hadn't thought of this either but he would totally do this. The thing I wonder though is what would he do if they had kids? They'd likely live as long as their parents so would he choose to de-vamp himself again even if the kids are already adults and can get along without them by then or would he choose to stay immortal for them
i honestly canāt decidešš i guess it partly depends on whether their kids would be truly immortal like nikola or not? like at some point the vampiric traits will get diluted down, but their kids would be half vampire and half incredibly long-lived human, so they might still have a lot of dominant vampiric traits including the lifespan. regardless i can still see nikola choosing to keep living for them, especially if helen asked him to
This is going on a tangent but this reminded me of the Greg and Gina twin idea and it'd be cute if their son was more like Helen and their daughter was more like Nikola lmao Back on topic, I feel like if they were old enough they'd leave the decision up to Nikola. If he wants to de-vamp himself that's okay, they'll accept that, but if he doesn't they're okay with that too. But Helen would probably ask him in private to stick around for them because it'd be hard to lose both parents at once and she doesn't want to hurt them
sgshdhdhdjffkfk not to continue the tangent but YES, i am such a sucker for genderbent mini-meās lmao
and yeah i agree, if theyāre adults theyād let it be nikolaās choice but helen would absolutely ask him to stick around a bit longer for them
I could just imagine little Greg perfecting Helen's death glare and eye roll and any time Nikola wants to do something crazy he's like "Tata, Mummy says that isn't safe" and Nikola's just like
I think it would all depend on how long they've been alive at that point. Like, if they have great-great-great grandchildren or something, I can see him saying enough is enough and he'll go with her.

SG-1 4x5 Divide and Conquer vs. Stargate: Continuum
for anon <3
Concept: Nikola in "Out of the Blue" where it's like some soulmate AU where he and Helen inexplicably feel like they've known each other their whole lives and fall for each other really fast. But unlike in the real world, they can actually talk about their feelings because they're trapped in their collective subconscious or whatever lmao
Oh man... I NEED to read this!!

Man, now that I've finished my Sanctuary story, I feel weird. Like yeah, I have schoolwork and my job to do and such, but like... it still feels weird.

+ Bonus:
This is it guys. I am working on the FINAL CHAPTER of my story. I cant believe it's the end. Honestly, I'm getting really nervous about it. Hopefully, it lives up to expectations.
But, here's a very small sneak peak. This is going to be longest chapter by far and it's going to be completely from Helen's POV. Hopefully I'll have time to finish this weekend.
When Nikola appeared around dinnertime, two plates, wine glasses, and a bottle of wine in hand, she didnāt hesitate to close her files and join him by the fire. He didnāt come every night, but he did come every night he left a rose, like he knew she needed the mental break as well.
āWhy, Miss Magnus,ā Nikola teased when she made it to her chair before he had finished putting everything down, āif I didnāt know any better, Iād say you were eager to spend some time with me.ā
Something in the way he said it, like he knew something she didn't, made her shift slightly in her seat. Trying to paste on as neutral an expression as possible, she glanced up at him as she picked up her glass of wine.
āPerhaps Iām just eager for the food. The company just seems to be a package deal.ā
Nikola laughed, eyes twinkling as he sat down.
āItās alright Helen. You can admit Iām the brightest part of your day. I wonāt tell the children.ā
His eyes were still filled with mirth, and something a little heavier, as he leaned back in his own chair, bringing his glass up for a sip.

Helen: Thereās no way he likes me back.
Henry: Tesla would throw himself in front of a moving car for you.
Helen: Nikola would throw himself in front of a moving car for fun.
This conversation definitely actually happened. š¤£
