I mean, he was replying directly to someone else soooo…

Also, I’m not sure this excuse is going to be as successful as he is hoping. Some internet sleuths were able to track down his probable sock puppet account. 

His fake sister is gay too!

UPDATE THE SECOND

I just… you can’t make this stuff up. 

The Dan Purdy account published a video claiming not to be a sock puppet and the man in the video claims he sent the original message and Dean Browning accidentally “somehow” posted it. 

Except this isn’t Dan Purdy. Several people have already identified him as William Holte.

It seems Dean paid Holte to make the video. Also, some are saying Holte is Patti LaBelle’s son. So this keeps getting weirder and weirder. 

How much further will Dean take this?

Only time will tell.

I recently read an article about a therapy group for depressed people who had all attempted suicide at some point. The breakthrough question for them was, “If your goal was to be just as miserable as possible, what would you do?” Most of them listed things like not getting enough sleep, or isolating themselves from everyone… the list goes on, but the point is, they listed things they already do. But now they saw those “coping mechanisms” for what they really were: things that were actively making their condition worse.

I read that article at 2:00 AM, asked myself, am I TRYING to be miserable tomorrow? And it was easier than usual to put my phone down and fall asleep. Even my intrusive “lying down” thoughts about meaninglessness and existential dread were easier to suppress when I framed them as things I’d think about to purposefully make myself feel as awful as possible.

7. Be a true friend to yourself – and shut off the commentary that is negative, attacking and lacking in compassion.

8. Commit to practicing these different skills – as they’ll take root in time, and change the way you act and feel.
