Anya was just a child the last time she saw him, but it’s him, she’d recognize his face anywhere, but before she has the chance to speak, Shaw has his hand on the small of her back as the hidden door behind her opens and he addresses him.

“ Erik. What a pleasant surprise. ”

“ I don’t know how he got in, sir. ”

Shaw tsks softly at her, removing his hand, a signal she knows all too well. She’s in flames in an instant, every inch of exposed flesh alight as she steps towards her father.

Anya lives with her parents in POLAND they’re happy but poor, times are hard for the young family and many others still. She spends most of her time with her mother, helping her in any way she can, she loves her parents, and is admittedly a bit of a daddy’s girl. She spends most of her time collecting bottle caps and other shiny things that catch her eye when she goes on walks with her Mama.

Letting out a string of curses, she glared at the  woman on the phone who’d knocked her papers  from her table as she passed, moving onto her hands and knees to pick them up. “ Woah, stop! ”  She exclaimed holding her hand up as the man  approached, fearing he might step on her fingers.

He allowed her to touch the suit and smiled again. “I’m a superhero.”

“ A superhero!? Are you special like my Poppa? ”

He took the necklace and looked at it. “That’s a great idea, did you made this?    And, because I’m spiderman.”

“ Uhuh, my Poppa helped me make them.    He’s real smart! What’s Spiderman? My     Mama doesn’t like spiders, I have’t put     them back outside. ” Anya reached up     and tried to poke the spider symbol on    his chest but couldn’t reach.

He steps down and smiles even tho she can’t see it but she’ll notice in the tone of his voice. “It’s ok, you can keep it.     I just said I saw it.”

“ Thank you Mister. ” She smiles shyly at     the masked man, putting the note back    in her pocket and taking off her bottle cap     necklace, offering it to him instead. “ We     can swap! Why are you dressed like that? ”

“The money in your pocket.    And because–––it’s fun to be upside down.”

She takes the note out of her pocket and offers it to him. “ I’m sorry Mister. I didn’t know it was yours. Mama says  I’m allowed to pick things up from the  floor. ” She shows him the bottle caps  in her pocket.
