I cringed at the idea of doing a comparison because my own art looks terrible when compared to the original masterpieces, but since others have done it I figured I may as well.   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The most fun part about doing these pieces is that I feel I’m exploring the original painters’ mind a little. And hopefully learning something from them in the process! :P

Fun fact: Tibetan Mastiffs were often “paired” with Tibetan Spaniels. The Tibetan Spaniel is a natural-born tattle tale and would run along monastery walls to keep an eye out for intruders. Upon spotting someone suspicious they would go get the big dog.

I will gladly make a post about it. I would like to know exactly what you would like to hear about it! I can collaborate with my friend who went with me that weekend. Send me questions and I’ll do my best to fill you in! I did meet the people who ran the con, and they’re just normal people who were in over their heads and the hotel was doing their best to get rid of the convention, it seemed. We were looked at like a bunch of weirdos in costumes, a nuisance, an embarrassment to their fancy pants hotel. That’s where I’ll start.
