Fives, after finding out about the chips, has his doll on him. He uses it dresses it up like Palpatine in a little play.

Also let’s pretend the drugs just didn’t work the same way and he didn’t behave erratically. He had perfect control of his mental faculties (well, as much control as anyone in the 501st has at any given moment in time). He lives, the clones live, the Jedi live, everyone lives (not Palpatine he dies a horrible flaming permanent death).
