There was a woman up the street who would ring my doorbell & I'd answer & she complained to me about my son. Dread would follow every doorbell I heard. I disconnected my doorbell. This is no way to live.
Sometimes when my cell phone rings & it's a number I don't recognize...I freeze up & panic inside. That's anxiety, right?
When someone talks to me, I notice they don't seem to listen to my response...they look past me or are formulating what they plan on saying. That's rude & I feel like crap

What is the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable?

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.

The Road Not Taken Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

With all the Mercedes, Lexus & fairly new cars in the student parking lot , I'm thinking of Veruca...what would she have?

"That’s what people do who love you. They put their arms around you and love you when you’re not so lovable."
My son has autism, thankfully it’s the high functioning type, but it still impacts him dramatically. And to be perfectly frank, sometimes he isn’t very lovable. He spews hateful things...

50 Old British Dialect Words to Incorporate into Conversation
If someone looks noticeably unwell, then they’re dauncy. Originally an Irish and northern English word, this eventually spread into colloquial American English in the 19th century. (Ireland)
Isolation
What will happen to a 13 year old boy with Asperger Syndrome who has no friends? He hasn't had a good laugh with someone outside the family for 11 months now. He has asked a few acquaintances to hang out weekend after weekend. They don't text back & if they do, they text they are busy or already have plans. He is lonely. He asks me, "why?" Is it because they don't like him? Is it that they are busy week after week (they never offer an optional day) What do I tell him? I tell him we are here & we love you. I think, though, it is not enough
Daily dose of love quotes here
I hate getting talked over or interrupted. I know it happens to everyone, but it makes me feel like no one cares what I have to say.
