NAMI THROWS PILLOWS IN HER SLEEP
DID SHE RUN HIM OVER JUST TO GET HIS ATTENTION
Well, that's where nami gets the manipulating to get what she wants. I don't remember Bellemère being this quirky in the anime ! Shes Awesome!!
Im mad at myself for forgetting to post this ugh..
I'm sticking with what I said before abt ppl commonly being born with some haki. Maybe you're thinking 'oh its a gift she was born with'. No, I think thats her ability to draw maps. This is natural observation haki of some sort; she predicts weather perfectly like some kind of sorcery; that can't just Happen if things like Haki can exist and explain things like this.
Nami is so underappreciated. I'll admit she doesn't get a ton of action, but when she does, she's absolutely badass.
This uhhh "weapon" that Usopp made for Nami is really unexplainable. Like...stuff doesn't just work that way. I can see some of these tricks working but not so much the heat/cold/electricity orbs. Its not that big of a deal I just wanted to complain haha.
This is when nami finally realizes the difference between luffy and most pirates. Up until now, she has prolly NEVER met a single pirate who is worth her time, or has any good will. Shes been unsure up until this point (she didnt want to kill luffy earlier, even though he himself IS a 'nasty pirate' (although she said it was cuz she didnt wanna fall to their level of cruelty but I think it's a combo of both)), but luffy did something she prolly never expected from someone with his title.
If her view of luffy remained the same, a number of things following this chapter would go extremely differently. I think this is a crucial part of the story.
We Already know something's up, and whatever it is, it's pretty horrible. She doesnt hide her fear very well.
She's seen the crew fight. What if that was on purpose? ...Actually, how many of the crews she's ever robbed/betrayed actually made it this far Just to bring her back?
