I really like Aokiji, hes so weird.
What does he have against Garp?? Does he know Dragon??? What's his definition of an 'honest fellow'????

Soumako moodboard
Ok who the fuck taught him that
The total amount of nicknames used in this arc was absolutely insane, but I dont care cuz its fucking cute
Doffy shows up. The art style isn't anywhere near as detailed and new as dressrosa of course, so i didn't get as gross vibes from him as I did when watching the dressrosa arc. Hes still disgusting tho. Icky.
Bellamy's bounty is only 55mil, wow.
How did he survive this??
And how did doffy know? Actually how have so many people known that there is this new age approaching?? A few ppl like, met lu and were just like wow hes like Roger, something big is gonna happen. But doffy prolly hasn't even heard of lu yet and he just KNOWS something big is coming. I'm sure the answer to this is obvious and ill explain it in a later post, but rn I'm just curious if there's real evidence to it besides a gut feeling.
I'm reliving the pain of enies lobby and I'm not even there yet.
*hey so what I said last post was wrong haha oopsies
The "why shouldn't I listen to you" line reminds me of marineford. Luffy says something somewhat similar to Ace cuz that was when we truly saw Ace's hatred of himself, and yelled at Luffy to leave him alone.
Just chaos n bonding. Can't decide if she's being kinda manipulative or fitting in super well (its prolly the latter but I can't help but wonder.) I'm zoro from the last panel.
Sanji doing that goofy dance and reciting poetry or smth is hilarious too me, especially since the snack part comes off a little deadpanned compared to the rest of his speech bubbles.
Chapter 225 is unbelievably important. I'm blown away by everything in it. Whoa.
Watching these two let their asses be handed to them hurts, but these are some cool panels.
Bb reminded Luffy of Shanks and Ace. That scares me. It's like...he has the right ideals, but he's gonna end up doing some horrible things in the future and I don't know what to feel anymore. [Spoilers below]
Bb only hunted down Luffy (but took Ace instead) to become one of the seven warlords. I can't even remember why he wanted to become a warlord. At the same time, he used to be on wb's crew but was kicked out cuz he killed a crewmate. So um, I really can't draw a conclusion on this guy.
Actually maybe I can. He definitely has something to work towards, with good ideals; pretty similar to Luffy. The striking difference between them though, is bb doesn't value human life or the people he may need to sacrifice to reach his goal-- whereas Luffy can have a bit of a bleeding heart, especially with his family. I can understand bb not caring about Luffy's or Ace's lives, but Thatch is absolutely inexcusable. Luffy can be selfish and blunt, and his actions can still have consequences (though Vivi taught him another method to get what he needs, back in drum island), but he would never do something like hunt down and murder people to get what he wants. Bb used to seem like a sorta okay dude at the time, but things took a turn for the worst when we learned more about him.
There's a number of ideas I'm getting from what Luffy n Zoro say here, but only one of them really makes sense (but also is still confusing).
Luffy&Zoro left to look for someone else who might know how to get to the sky island. Thing is, I don't know why they didn't just ask if bb knew. I'd like to think they already knew they shouldn't take help from bb since they could sense he was not really a good person, but I'm really not sure. I'm pretty much just as confused as Nami.
The other idea I'm getting is going more along Nami's interpretation of their words. As in, there are more people on the island that think like bb. And they need to leave, cuz it isn't safe (or smth like that idk), and they have to find help elsewhere.
First time the idea of getting a new ship is brought up. Things only get worse from here.
Usopp has told the story of how they got the ship many times :(
Well, that's where nami gets the manipulating to get what she wants. I don't remember Bellemère being this quirky in the anime ! Shes Awesome!!
His hat looks extremely similar to Garp's. Like, I saw him and thought Garp was in this arc and got confused.
Maybe it's just the beard, I dunno.
