Gaara's Sand Armor was shown in his Chunin Exam fight against Rock Lee and it was able to change its colour so it looked like his skin and clothes. I bet you 2000 ryo that his Mother's blessing is responsible and that his eyeliner is actually just black Sand Armor.

Still no Yamato!

I never forgot about good ol' Yamato! He was wrapped up by Guruguru (Sprial Zetsu) and fell out once the Infinite Tsukuyomi was activated. He's slowly dying as his chakra leaves his body but he's enjoying a nice dreamscape while he's at it! :)

Naruto to end on November 10, 2014

I've been super slack about this blog for the last couple of months but here's some thoughts about Naruto coming to an end. I first started watching Naruto in what must've been 2004-2005 when it started airing on Cartoon Network in Australia and it quickly filled the void that Dragonball Z ending had left me with, becoming something that me and my friends would talk about all the time and constantly draw fan art of, along with the obligatory "x could kick y's arse" discussions / arguments which would end with people asking my opinion since I guess I was the most level headed about it all? The first volumes of the manga that I bought were 25, 26 & 27, all at once and at $20 a pop too! Down here in Launceston, Tasmania, Birchalls was the only place to get it and they overcharged so badly but I didn't know any better (thankfully they're better now.) I think I bought Volume 28, the start of Part II (also known as the start of Shippuden / the time skip) as well and that was it for quite a while since back then I had virtually no money unless it was my birthday. I'll never forget reading the scanlations in college and talking about the new chapter to my friend Emma the next morning and also my friends Akira and Lara in Japanese class later that day too. There was so much buzz about it between me and my friends, even when I was in entirely new groups! As of this moment I'm sitting in bed and if I turn my screen off, I can vaguely make out the shape of my bookshelf which currently holds Volumes 1 - 66 of the series and it's such a bizarre thought to think that it's all gonna end with Volume 72/73 (I did the math a few days ago so forgive me if I'm off by a couple of Volumes.) It's been not only something I've enjoyed reading for years but a world I've had an obsession with from time to time and regularly get called a walking Narutopedia by friends although honestly, I'm not one for memorising everyone's birthdays or anything crazy like that. Though I have made a few discoveries and posted them under the title "Did you know?" so can't plead completely innocent to that. Kishimoto's world and themes of friendship have made a major impact on my life and it's odd because I've never thought that it's influenced me but more that as I've read it, it's reflected some of my real life situations and especially this current situation where I just can't give up on someone despite everyone around me telling me otherwise for my own good (sound familiar?) I just can't burn bridges and whether it's bad or good, I live with my decisions and have zero regrets because I value the time invested in the connections I have with people, something Naruto is all about and I've not really seen the parallel this clearly until now. It's definitely going to be an emotional day once the last chapter comes to a close and it'll definitely call for some fan art. The anime will thankfully have no excuse to go into filler since they can't possibly catch up so we have that to look forward to. I hope I can join in the discussion and appreciation once it's all wrapped up but also in the coming weeks as we near the conclusion (which by the way, 699 as an end point really throws me off. I'd much rather a nice round number. :P) Let's enjoy the Springtime of Youth while we can!

These have been significantly delayed due to my big move from Sydney to Tasmania and all the weeks of busy-bee-ing that surrounded it. Sorry for the delays, I should be back to a regular schedule starting next week.

Finally sorted out my wireless adapter connection an hour ago! No deck yet though so artwork is going to be tricky to churn out but these are relatively easy and even relaxing.

I'm so psyched for Chapter 676!!

Finally inspired enough to pack away some stuff from my bookshelf so I’d have room to re-arrange it.

The top shelf is dedicated to various sizes of artbook and The Walking Dead books (1 - 9) while the bottom shelf is pretty much just “jam every game/dvd etc. in there” so they’re not really clean cut like these middle three.

If it weren’t for Volume 43 being so fat (just more of it to love) I’d have 20 to each shelf.
