reminder that this case was not about whether amber heard was abused, it has already legally been established depp abused her. this was about whether or not she was allowed to talk about her abuse.

this verdict sends a message to all survivors that no matter how much evidence you have, it will never be enough. even if you don’t name him, he can sue you, and apparently he has a damn good chance of winning. it tells survivors not to talk about their abuse unless you want to face the repercussions of making him look bad.

dr. proudman said it best: “at this point being dead is not enough to be an innocent survivor of domestic abuse. her corpse would need to be burned and fucked.”
