Hey, everyone, and thank you for all your patience.
We've received a few asks concerning the website, and the mention that May was the month we wanted to hopefully make another attempt at re-opening it.
I, as project lead, want to apologize for the lack of updates on the matter, and for not having been tackling the website issues since the last update.
The truth is, that the team is down to two. The both of us are terrible burned out, either struggling with real life issues, or packed work schedules. Neither currently got the proper time nor energy to set up a new website, let alone then maintain it, both time-wise or financially. On top of that, interests are waning in the project and Trigun as a whole.
It was my hope, that a few months wait for May to come was going to give me the energy or motivation to handle it when the time came. But clearly it did not, and I have not informed everyone in proper time either.
What does this mean for the future?
We've decided on the team to not bring the website back up for the foreseeable future. We're terribly sorry for making everyone wait for it, only to not deliver. The financial burden for domains and subscriptions for hosting is not something either of us wishes to hold any longer, for running the project has been an expensive affair across many years.
However, if anyone else in the fandom of Trigun, or fans of the project, wishes to host our project anywhere, or upload it anywhere, they are more than welcome. We are still proud of the work we've done, and we still want the project to be as accessible as possible.
I personally will still continue keeping an eye on our site here, and try my best to answer questions when I can. Beyond that, I hope to also use this platform and following that the project currently have to draw attention to other wonderful passion projects in the fandom through reblogs.
Of course, this does not mean it is the end for the project, but no new content is likely to be posted within the foreseeable future. Should we find a sudden spark of energy for working on the project, we hope to utilize it for some new content for everyone. But as things stand now, our presence will mostly be that of answering questions and occasionally reblogging a post from another Trigun project.
Once again, we're sorry for the lack of new content, and the lack of updates from our end. The whole team still remains thankful for all the support, patience, and understanding everyone has shown us, and are, and have always been, thankful and humbled by everyone's love for our project.
Thank you for your patience and hopefully your understanding!
PSA to fic readers, it is so hard to freak a fic writer out with your comments. we are just as crazy about the fic as you are.
tell me you love it. tell me it made you slam your laptop shut. tell me you brought it up at your college lecture about kink. key smash in all caps. quote the passage that made you think. i promise, we’ll love it.
we spend hours thinking about it, writing it, editing it. there is no such thing as over enthusiasm when you’re talking about our fics to us. we are sooooo weird about them, i assure you. you are just matching my freak. the freak bar is already set so high. feel no anxiety about enjoying something and letting the creator know.
To A New World
(sorry i havent been posting here LMAO i should actually do it more often now that twitter is going to shit anyways watch Trigun Stampede)
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
The newly unveiled cover artwork features Vash, Wolfwood, Meryl, and Milly.
The official TRIGUN Complete Book will collect the visual record of both TRIGUN STAMPEDE and TRIGUN STARGAZE in a single volume, looking back on the series’ turbulent story through plentiful visuals and detailed text.
Not sure why it's a new trend among fic readers to assume if the fic has not been posted within the week it's inappropriate to comment on it, like the fic has to be hot out of the oven to give feedback for.
I got a comment on a fic that is less than a year old and it was mostly an apology for being a comment on an "old fic" and how late they were in commenting.
Just comment on the fic. Doesn't matter how old it is.
ao3 is not changing anything by the way! some people just want them to change for some reason. my guess is that these people just don't understand how the site works and refuse to actually learn how it works, so they blame the site because it's easier for them that way.
