Since this story doesn't take place on Earth, there probably isn't Halloween. But if there's a similar holiday with costumes involved, Garnet either loves it or hates it. Haven't decided.

The noises this creature makes.... "help", "please don't eat me..." I think it's trying to communicate!
The Beast, the creature on the left, was once a very small shapeshifting animal, but gained sentience as he got larger. I haven't made up details for how he learned language, but it was quite the puzzle for him to figure out- especially when he struggles to hold himself back from eating people.
anyways, this isn't colored in cause I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT COLOR TO MAKE THE BEAST. Pls give me suggestions!

Assuming you're being literal and actually want more info about my AU...
The basic concept is that the original phantoms were the phantom kings, and all other phantoms (excluding proto phantoms) are plants, animal, and pets that have been transformed into phantoms. It's why they're so obsessed with polluting everything, it's why they capture animals, it's their way of making more of themselves.
Most phantoms have no memories of their previous lives, and have blind loyalty to the kings. But one of the kings has begun sabotaging their conquer, and allowing the creation of defective phantoms that still retain some of the color and will of their animal forms. She hopes that they can go mostly unnoticed, but can still join her side if she betrays the other phantoms.
