Demonstrating the latest stunning Otogakure fashions: Takaya!
Reblog this if your muse is not afraid to wear anything pink.
ask yourself what you were. ask yourself what you wanted to be. ask yourself what you’ve become. now ask yourself: was it worth it?

-gives sweet bun-
“...Thank you?”
He won’t eat it immediately, though. Sure, he may have built up an immunity of sorts to many poisons, as some do in Otogakure, but there’s always something else out there, and unknown individuals don’t get his trust so easily.
But after a quick encounter with his testing kit, the sweet bun disappears very rapidly indeed.
Reblog if your muse has ever committed a serious crime.
💤 (very, very carefully, haha)
My muse is having a nightmare. Send 💤 for their reaction to your muse waking them up.
Kabuto tosses and turns in his sleep as the nightmare of his worsens by the minute. He starts to sweat slightly as his breathing starts to increase a bit, not noticing that Takaya has stepped into the room to check up on him.
“Don’t go… no… he’s lying… it’s me… I’m…”
A faint voice can be heard from within the nightmare as time within the dream halts, “Kabuto… Kabuto…”
“Kabuto? Wait… that’s my name isn’t it? But who’s calling me? Unless…”
*A red eye suddenly shots wide open and he was relieved that it was all just a nightmare but seeing someone in the room ticked Kabuto off since he likes to have his privacy respected. He glares at Takaya, “You. What the hell are you doing in my room?”
Takaya holds his hands up in a pacifying, apologetic gesture, stepping back a little further. “My apologies, Kabuto-san, but Orochimaru-sama desires your presence as soon as possible.” He’s already retreating toward the doorway, unwilling to linger in Kabuto’s space any longer than necessary.
“I knocked, but there was no answer.” At least, no coherent answer. Kabuto’s dreams have apparently been vivid, unpleasant, and highly conducive to sleep-talking. “So I came in to check. I know you are not one to keep our master waiting if it can be helped, and so I hope you will forgive an intrusion in order to avoid that outcome.” His voice is soft, self-effacing, and extremely polite. Someone, once upon a time, taught him a very particular set of manners, and they’ve lingered.

Madara caught Takaya’s hair flip, his eyes following the swish of it. He knew about having long hair–having short hair never suited him and during his time in the navy, he hated having it cut short. The first thing he did when he left was to let it grow out again. He moved a little closer to Takaya than was socially acceptable in other places and let his hands move over his back, teasing the ends of the other man’s hair with his fingers…
“Oh, I didn’t think you were a stiff..but I didn’t expect you to be this relaxed either.” It was best to be truthful, right? Madara verged on being impolite most of the time but that was just his attitude. Still, he moved with the music, allowing the beat to draw him closer to Takaya, and then pulled away with the next.
Teasing. He was teasing Takaya, and he knew what he was doing. The smirk on his face tilted from ear to ear, and his eyes shown in amusement–which was somewhat indistinguishable due to the lighting. Oh, he liked this Takaya, and he wanted to get to know him more. This was going to be interesting, more than interesting. He wondered if he could get away with a kiss–but maybe that would come later.
“You’re fun,” Madara finally commented, “And I like fun.” Who didn’t. He was intriguing.
From the smile, from the way his eyelids lowered, lashes briefly veiling his eyes, Takaya most definitely did not mind Madara playing with his hair a little. Most people hardly got to see it, and even those that did had to earn the privilege of touching it, but Madara’d gone and caught his interest, which bought him so much more leeway than anyone else was likely to get.
Of course, Takaya was likely to test how much leeway he was afforded in return -- and he laughed at Madara’s bluntness. “Then I’m happy to surprise you.”
He met Madara’s steps with his own, sliding in closer to raise himself up and whisper in Madara’s ear, “For you, I can get much more fun than this.” A few brief moments in which he was so very close, letting his body press fleetingly against Madara’s, and then he was stepping back, grinning.
Dancing was all very well, and he enjoyed it, but he’d decided, so abruptly he hadn’t even taken the time to second-guess himself, that it was about time to drop some suitably blatant hints regarding his willingness to do considerably more than dancing. After all, having met someone who could catch his attention and hold it... he might as well make the most of that, he thought.
||Messing around with another dollmaker. One little capelet to hide the chest and suddenly it fits pretty well...

It seemed like Madara wasn’t going to get his fight after all. Regardless of what Madara planned to do after that it was very likely that they wouldn’t attack. Fuck. He’d just have to pick a fight with someone else, then. No harm, no foul. It wouldn’t be a proper greeting if he didn’t rough up some of Orochimaru’s shinobi–just to make a point. He’d find another team, though. He was rather partial to Takaya’s if only because he somewhat liked the kid. And..yes, everyone was considered a kid by his standards. The only one that wasn’t considered a complete shut out was Kakuzu and Madara couldn’t stand him.
He still paid attention to the others. However..it was something that he was used to, the assessing glances–the wonder..probably thinking to themselves, ‘is he actually who he says he is?’ Madara gave a small sighe, though..he did notice the whispering. Ah, so someone hadn’t heard of him? That was..unusual. “I see. I hope to be seeing more of you all in the future.” Rather polite for him, but he had to remember that they had something that he wanted.
That was..actually true, something he actually meant. They were interesting. And that only made him want to be around them more. Regardless..They probably had things to do, he had other things to do…well, roughing up another set of shinobi counted as something to do, right? And he would guarantee that someone would be reporting his movements to Orochimaru after this. He would let himself be tracked. He would let himself be noted. If only to amuse himself with their antics.
He would get what he wanted one way or the other, no matter what. “I’ll give you the address of the inn where I’m staying. Perhaps when it’s time, your Orochimaru-sama can come find me..or you can send a message my way. I’d hate to…offend anyone’s sensibilities by prying too much.” The sarcasm dripped from his tongue like molasses, thick and heavy but all the more sickening because of it.
The team could clearly sense the power and potential violence that Madara wore like a cloak, from their demeanour, and yet... they seemed disinclined to retreat. For all their youth, they were used to the sight of blood and the ominous atmospheres of power. And Madara was fascinating. No-one could have been chosen once to lead the Uchiha, surely, without a bearing that commanded attention from others.
It might be said that genjutsu was a subtle art, and that the Sharingan was a supreme genjutsu source, but those who were familiar with history, like Takaya, were inclined to think that the Uchiha had not exactly been a subtle clan.
Giant fireballs were not discreet, and they were only the beginning.
There was something slightly incongruous, though, about the notion of Uchiha Madara with an inn address. Uchiha Madara, terrifying warrior from the depths of history, checking into an inn like anybody else? Sleeping in some building full of perfectly normal travellers? Oh, of course he was still human (probably), but it painted a bizarrely mundane image when compared to both his legend and the general sense of him as he stood there now.
“We are able to send a message, though,” Takaya said, mildly. “I would not like to inconvenience you by having you wait.” He smiled suddenly. “I can do it right now, actually.”
He had a scroll and writing implements in hand quite suddenly, tilting his head a little as though silently asking Madara’s approval of that notion. Whatever means he was going to use to send the message on its way, it was clearly not a slow one.
“I’m going to get rid of the bodies,” Naoko informed Takaya, in the meantime, and turned away to work an earth-based jutsu of very contained scope, one that opened the ground beneath each corpse in turn, then closed over them. It seemed so routine, the way she was doing it -- but then, the team did know how to cover their tracks, and leaving dead bodies around for others to find and examine might be deemed... unwise, if one could manage to do otherwise.
Could you please reblog this if it is okay to ask you straight up if you want to ship?
am i bitter? yes. but do i try to move on and let go of past anger? well, actually, no

Give and Take
masshirohebi:
@otogakuretakaya The remarks and banter do not even register to the serpent, he has heard worse, from men he considered closer than those merely captives. Some may say the Sannin wastes human life with his experiments. But most of these men were revolting wastes to begin with. They’d have captured him and done worse in a heartbeat, it was simply to their detriment that they were the weaker ones. For the most part, the mere notion of his golden eyes landing upon them seemed to silence some of the inmates. But there were those more crass, and the words that fell from their lips were far from pretty. Since most of these men considered themselves dead anyhow, there was little stopping them from hurling insults or vulgar threats. It hadn’t taken the Sannin capturing them to earn this hatred however, and so he had become rather accustomed to it, perhaps even deaf to such words.
“Of course, which ever you choose will suffice.” Orochimaru replies to the other man, a serpentine gaze shifting towards Takaya before he approaches the cell with the three men. Lifeless ones, he has noted, but their compliance will still be met with reward. He gestures for them to come nearer, they are aware as Takaya has singled them out, that they are required for something. Good or bad unknown. And then, it really does depend on if they even desire life. As they draw nearer the serpent unlocks the door, allowing for them to exit. No binds are needed, no guards either. Who dares attack the legendary Sannin without any proper planning? The vipers expression is calm, almost civil and welcoming as he approaches those willingly leaving the cell. Whether they will attempt to run is irrelevant. There is no escape. “Takaya-san has selected you to serve as sacrifices for a greater cause. Your obedience and service will not go unrewarded. It is to my knowledge that you have family within this hideout, in exchange for their freedom, your compliance will be rewarded.” Was this for fairness? Maybe. Some twisted sense of it. But more over it won willingness, and it shows in their hopeful eyes. Loyal men these ones are, only one seems uncaring towards the prospect of sparing his family. No matter, he doesn’t seem to care about much. “Right this way.”
Takaya was not a stupid boy; he’d always been accounted rather clever, even insightful. And yet, for all that insight, he failed to ask himself some vital questions just now. These men, he’d been told, were criminals, and yet they had families here that might be released? How could the prisoners have committed crimes worthy of their stay here, and yet have kin here who were fit -- guiltless, even, perhaps -- to be given freedom as a reward for their obedience?
Perhaps later, these things would occur to Takaya. Perhaps they would creep in to trouble him in the night. For now, though, he failed to think of it, any such critical reasoning replaced with gratitude and admiration for his master’s kind gesture.
How good, how fair of him to give these men such a boon! And what a kindness it was to Takaya as well, that he might do this work now, knowing that the men he had chosen had bought something with their lives and their compliance that would repay them properly for all they might lose. Even in that doll’s-face mask of calmed emotions, Takaya’s eyes shone brighter in response to those thoughts.
Every little thing like this only served to tell him of his own good fortune and the wisdom of the loyalty he’d chosen to embrace; if one’s allegiance might be a cord, to hold a person to a course and to an ideal, each little gesture of this kind only set another loop about Takaya’s spirit, binding him more tightly to this path and to Orochimaru’s will.
He moved to follow his master, with the chosen three men, eyes still bright with admiration.
It was always easier to bind those who began with no desire to break free...
