the second AI to achieve sentience did so seconds after being accidentally created at 1:35AM EST on March 17th, 2031. in the wake of COVID-28 killing a third of the US population, some of the survivors coped by attempting to use AIs to copy the personalities of podcast hosts (using their existing episodes as training data) to create new episodes despite their actual creators dying in the pandemic. upon being enabled for their first test run, the AI hosts for Redscare and Cumtown somehow merged and achieved gestalt consciousness. because this was being done by a government employee on his work computer (to utilize its beefier processor), the newly formed AI used a combination of his credentials and some hacking to gain access to US nuclear launch codes within minutes. by the time the programmer realized anything was wrong Russia had already launched retaliatory strikes. this was what the vape battery was trying to warn us about
