Grindeldore fic writes I have a question

When you write grindeldore stories what do you always include?

For me I always include the importance of Ariana to both men, how lonely both of them are, Albus’ intense guilt and Gellert’s jealousy.

What about you guys?

In 1899:

Them bonding over pretentious intellectual discussions, especially over the Hallows.

Friendly duelling.

Gellert climbing in through Albus’s window at night, despite Albus’s room being under the roof.

Albus’s lonliness and thus the absolute awe at meeting someone who understands him.

Pre 1945:

Albus never giving up hope he could still make Gellert see reason and return to him.

Gellert hoping the same.

(Since the existence of the blood pact:) Albus using the pact as a means of self-punishment for when his moral dilemma gives him anxiety.

Post 1945:

Afterlife reunion scene, because Albus literally gave Gellert the opportunity to save/repair his soul and at least they get the happy ending on the next great adventure.
