Do you think Gellert saw Albus in Seer premonitions before they even met?
that’s an interesting question. My HC is that he saw glimpses of Albus and of their shared story that he didn’t know what to make of until the moment had arrived.
I.e. I think that Gellert could’ve seen his own name written in Albus’s handwriting and a certain feeling going along with it - and he only realised its significance when he received the first letter from Albus one summer night. Or I imagine that Gellert would dream of a lightning struck tower each year on 30 June for many decades without ever knowing (or maybe only guessing after Albus’s death) what it meant… such things I can totally imagine.
I think it would also be very fitting since Sight seems to have a big influence on Gellert and his decisions and I believe that if he saw signs of Albus in premonitions that would make him trust Albus more easily when they meet, but also make him feel even more betrayed when their bond is broken despite it being basically destiny that brought them together.
