Email Tips

If I had to pick one feature of Our Strata that I like the most, it would be the email functionality.  Almost everything that can be done on the web can also be done via email which makes managing your body corporate or owners corporation on-the-go a synch.

Here is a quick summary of a few of the features:

Starting discussions You can start a discussion by simply emailing your strata address such as [email protected].  You’ll need to ensure you include both a subject and message body.

Replying to a discussion To reply to a discussion from an email notification, just press reply and type away. That’s it.  To reply from a new email, either include the discussion number as a hashtag in the subject line, eg #1234, or include it in the to address, eg [email protected].

Tagging You can automatically file discussions and set their privacy by adding hashtags to the subject line.  For example, to file a discussion under maintenance and ensure that only owners & managers could see it, you would include the following hash tags anywhere in the subject line:

#maintenance #owners #managers

Signature blocks When reading your email, Our Strata will attempt to remove any previous messages and signature blocks to prevent adding information twice.  You can also tell Our Strata to stop reading any further by add — or ——- (that’s 2 or 5 hyphens) which tells Our Strata to ignore the rest of the email.

Making Our Strata even more secure

We take data security seriously at Our Strata.  That's why today, we've added the same 256bit SSL encryption that banks use across our entire site.

SSL encrypts the communication between your browser and our server, preventing anyone else from eavesdropping your private information. 

Whenever you visit our website, you should see https in the address bar.  And if you use Firefox, you should see a nicely coloured domain name there as well.
