Blossom grew up in a life of privilege. But that privilege came at the expense of never seeing her parents. She liked to think of herself as independent, but her older brother did a lot for her. When her parents passed away she was still pretty young. It was a weird state to be in. She was sad, of course, but she found herself mourning the idea of them since she really had never gotten to know them. She was sad about all the things they could have done together. Every trip her family took was filled with vague images of her parents. Usually on a business call or they would leave in the middle of the trip because something came up. They never enjoyed themselves as a family. Everything that she would learn about her parents was usually through someone else's experience. Her brother was older, so he remembered more. Her uncle would tell stories about her dad. Sometimes she would come across a nice article about her mom and she'd read it a few times. The only side of her dad she really knew was an unfavorable one. Although she was young, it was apparent that he had a drinking problem and it only got worse when his wife passed away. So she sometimes clung onto other people's memories because they were at least better than her own. One thing that Blossom hated while growing up was being called cute. Always shorter than everyone around her, she heard the word a lot. Blossom didn't want to be cute. She didn't want to be picked up or her cheeks pinched. She wanted respect. Maybe she couldn't get taller. But she could get stronger. She dabbled in a few different sports while in middle school but she found her calling when she joined wrestling freshman year of high school. Blossom didn't expect to like it as much as she did but it became not just a hobby for her, but basically her entire life. She knew that she wanted to keep doing it even after high school with the ultimate goal of making it on TV.
When her brother left for California, she wasn't far behind him. She had never had plans to be involved of the family business. Blossom had one goal in life and that was to be in a wrestling ring. So making the decision to join her brother in California was an easy one. Though it put some strain on her relationship with her sister. Blossom would spend the next few years training and trying out for wrestling gigs. Eventually her hard work paid off and she started to get noticed. It was within small circuits, but it was enough to give her hope to keep going. She was finally within reach of her dream.
Blossom traveled a lot in her efforts to get noticed. She "lived" in Aurora Bay but she spent weeks in Las Vegas, Orlando, or Oakland. Pretty much anywhere they were filming wrestling shows or taking auditions. When she wasn't traveling, she would stick around and spend time with her brother, his wife and their daughter. During one of her stays she met her future wife, Dani. She hadn't meant to fall in love, but the relationship took her by surprise and they were married within a year.
There was a time in her life where everything seemed to be coming together. She was being featured pretty regularly in wrestling matches. Blossom was even gaining a fanbase and making money off her wrestling gigs. Her relationship with Dani was seemingly rock solid too. But cracks were starting to form all around her and while some were unpredictable, others should have been apparent sooner. Her brother's wife died and while she tried to be supportive, she didn't really know how to help him or her niece. Dani was spending a lot of time at her job and their differing schedules rarely meant that they got to spend time together. Their relationship became so strained after awhile that it lead to couples counseling and estrangement.
The only thing Blossom had going for her was wrestling and even then that started to turn sour. Another wrestler was brought into the ring and Blossom found herself being given smaller parts or worse matches. This lead to her having arguments with showrunners and she was told that people were getting tired of her. The other girl was a fresh face. This didn't make sense to her. She was still being invited to events, being stopped outside of the studio for autographs, and people were asking where she was whenever she wasn't featured in a match. Always a girls girl, she didn't want to assume the worst of her new co wrestler, but she felt something wasn't right.
Blossom tried to be a good sport and power through lousy storylines, all the while looking for other options. Maybe it was time to really aim for the stars and stop doing small time gigs. But everything came to a halt when she found herself being rushed to the hospital during a match. Sure, she had been injured before but never this bad. Again, she felt like something was seriously wrong with the situation and while it started to make her go mad, she couldn't shake the feeling that she got injured on purpose. Nothing about the match was like they had practiced and now she was out of the game for at least six months with a rotator cuff tear.
