Honestly fat dad gut makes for prime "Didn't know I was pregnant" material.

His belly isn't really growing, not enough to notice anyway - he'd been enjoying jokes about his gut looking pregnant for years now.

But it feels somehow firmer and tighter; rounder, heavier as he unknowingly gets further along. Maybe there's a few more inches, but he figures it's from the way he's been eating, enough for a whole family in one sitting. That also must be why he's getting this weird indigestion and stomach cramps - sometimes it half feels like something's moving around in him. But it never clicks - he's a big fat guy and it's just catching up with him, that's all. Sure, it feels like most of his weight has moved to belly, and his center of mass feels weirdly off; it feels like it sits heavier on his hips than before; he feels constantly like he's bloated, packed full and looks it too; his chest has also been plumping up and getting tender.

But there's no reason to suspect anything's wrong, even as he starts having sharp pains more and more often, not even as his belly starts to seem lower and heavier than ever, not even when he swears he sees it shift and move - it'seasy to write off, right up until he feels some of the pressure inside him release and his pants are soaking wet. Maybe it still doesn't quite occur to him that he's pregnant, in labor and the baby is coming fast.
