thinking about this again ive decided this is my firm and true belief. L is on polite yet distant speaking terms with all of Watari's nieces and nephews and they send him christmas cards and ask after him. he calls Watari's very normal sister 'aunt' at her insistence. he does not like any of them very much and they very much treated him as a Sad Troubled Child whenever he was forced to interact with them growing up

God I need more horror fics of light Yagami having super abnormal reactions from the supernatural because of using the death note. Specifically when he gets his memories back—let him have his amnesiac self struggle against his Kira memories. They fail to integrate for the first time and it ends up with Light screaming in pain and calling out for help from his father and even L. I need a fanfiction like that

I need it so that his scream wasn't just a scream of fear but a true scream of pain and he just starts thrashing and screaming for help, yelling about how it hurts and to make it stop (a consequence of living in denial of being kira and THEN recovering memories of being kira so obviously the two conflicting realities don't align and thus the consequence is a very messy attempt at reintegration)
