I saw that screenshot on Facebook and I guess I couldn't resist the temptation, LOL This Sonic is already old and somewhat bitter, Why is he older? I don't know, because I say so, and besides, Sonic Boom gives me the vibes of a bitter forty-something.

I once read something about Sonic wearing long socks, and here we are. I wanted to draw him in my style.

Well, if they delete my post, I guess I'll have to re-upload but with censorship, so you can see it on my X account, or if I make a continuation of that AU (Does it even count as an AU? It's just stupid, but let me rave)

I wrote a Sonadow/Shadonic fanfic with a theme that came to me one day when I was taking a shower after the gym, and I said, Ah, I should write it and draw something, since I couldn't find any fanfics like that. And so, that's what I did.

Honestly, it makes me laugh to think of Sonic (from the movies) reacting to a little baby Silver.

Here you have the fanfic! It's in Spanish, but if you're an English reader, you can translate it :D

I drew Maria in my Sonic-Tails roleswap AU! If it wasn’t clear, she’s swapping places with Shadow. In this AU, Maria got extremely sick to the point that she really was on death’s door. Shadow sacrificed parts of himself including his blood and heart to save Maria. When the procedure was over, Maria was filled with anger and grief and guilt over Shadow’s death. This activated the Doom powers inside her. The scientists put her in cryostasis to stop her rampage. The raid happened before they could free her, so Maria awakens to the world fifty years later

She wears a mostly black body suit with red accents including those weird side things on her hips that Eggman has. She wears white gloves like Mobians. A piece of her dress hangs from her belt as a reminder of who she once was.

Other reminders include Shadow’s air-shoes and his inhibitor rings, though they’ve been repurposed to suppress doom power rather than chaos energy.

Her body itself underwent changes, too. The tips of her hair are red. Shadow’s symbol appeared on her chest. Her eyes have also changed.

You read correctly! Maria has inherited all of Shadow’s Doom powers (but not his chaos abilities). If she overuses them, she becomes aggressive. It also wears down her body, eventually becoming painful

Her most used power are the Doom wings. Although she has Shadow’s air-shoes, she doesn’t have his speed, so the wings are her form of transportation (puts her in conflict with the flying Tails as well)

I think I’ll draw Maria using the Doom powers, but don’t hold your breath. It was hard enough drawing this lmao

So, I was reading a Sonadow/Shadonic fanfic on ao3 by the wonderful author @emmasmoke8 (Diosmio, tumblr, let me tag), and there was one scene (of many that I will draw later if I have time) that completely melted me, and I couldn't resist the temptation to draw it, because I'm very weak.

Here I will leave the link to this wonderful work in case anyone is interested, it is an AU of Heroes, villains, and vigilantes, where Sonic apparently dies, and many things happen. I highly recommend it to people who see this post!
