An Aran Shrug in June
Yes it's June (though it's not exactly the hottest June) and I'm knitting an aran weight shrug. However it's actually a pretty comfortable knit, since it's knit quite loosely on 7mm needles. I modified the cuff …
For post-it-queen, some handspun knitting tonight.
And for Girl Child…You are GOING to wear a scarf this year.
Making this with sock knitting needles. I cut off the end and pushed it through a wooden bead with some glue. Makes ‘em nice and compact enough to fit in the pocket of my housecoat while I knit and bop around a little.

This sweater did not want to be photographed, I had the hardest time not being able to find my tripod or my remote trigger, then the exposure was all over the place despite my constant adjustments but I’m still smiling ear to ear because I love it. It’s a little thicker than a summer sweater but since this summer is not turning out to be massively hot It’s perfect. And these colors are so great !
Pattern is the Cap Sleeve Lattice top from the purl bee !!
Use mini squares to see what colors will really look like together before a project aka genius

Finished Object!!
My daybreak shawl is finally done. I loved every minute knitting it - it was mindless, relaxing knitting and the yarn was (my) handspun. Both merino/silk tops came from Three Waters Farm. The semisolid colorway is “Burnt Orange” the variegated is “Cheerful Disposition”. Both have been spun up during Tour de Fleece.
There is nothing better than knitting with your own handspun!
