I’ve always been excessively fond of this copy I have of Sense & Sensibility. Fun fact! The film adaption is actually one of my top three favourite films (and it has been since I was like, smol. Apparently I’m a right nerd). I found this in one of the little shops in those old manor houses in England (Hertfordshire to be exact) some years ago. I have been a power house of reading these last few days 💪🏻 I managed to polish off 3 books in 5 days which is the MOST I’ve read in ages. One of these binge worthy reads was #Obsidian (Jennifer L Armentrout always writes SUCH an addictive story!). I rated it 3/5 stars in the end - some solid fluff! * * In fact, I’ve been so motivated to read, that whilst choosing my next book (which will be #NavigatingTheStars for anyone who missed the poll’s results) I picked up #TheRuinOfKings again. I’d been about 1/5 of the way through it and I demolished another 100 pages of it yesterday. Has anyone else heard of this book or read it? My current, enormous, endless and fantastical read: The Priory of the Orange Tree. I feel so oddly proud of myself for picking this up, considering it comes in with a page count over 800 and the audiobook length just shy of 26 hours 😅. * * I’m really glad I picked up the audio because i think I would have definitely become bogged down in the politics and names otherwise. I’m still struggling to keep up with some characters and what they’re doing/where they’ve come from but so far, after crossing the 50% mark, this book has gotten really good! It’s interesting how much it’s pulling from our own history and renaming things 📝 some characters, like Ead, are fast becoming a favourite fictional character of all time, and others are incredibly boring and I can’t even remember their names. * * I’m curious to see what I end up rating this!
