Think you should be allowed to ‘spank’ your child although all new research shows that it lowers the IQ of the child, causes aggression, and invokes depression later in life? Then why don’t you think about this side of the argument the next time you speak in favor of ‘disciplining’ your child:

Hitting your wife or husband is called ‘domestic violence’ and is a crime.

Hitting another adult is called ‘assault’ and is a crime.

Hitting an animal is called ‘abuse’ and is a crime.

But, hitting a child is called ‘discipline’ and is not a crime.
