Your peaceful life ended with a knock on your door. Not the hurried kind of someone in danger, nor the loud kind of someone bringing news. It was the knock of a man who didn’t know how to ask for help without pretending it was no big deal.
When you opened the door, Gojo stood there—hair wet from rain, blindfold askew, and holding a small, scowling child by the hood like a misbehaving cat.
“Hey,” he said, sheepishly. “You busy?”
That was the beginning of everything.
You had been friends with Gojo since the first week at Jujutsu Tech. Both teenagers with too much power and too many expectations, you clung to each other like lifelines. You laughed through injuries, cried after missions, and held each other together when everything fell apart. Riko, Suguru, everything. You loved him, even then, but never dared say it. And Gojo, ever the coward in his own way, never said it either. Both of you too afraid that saying those words out loud would make the only person who had been constant in your lives disappear as well.
But then he brought you Megumi Fushiguro, and that changed everything.
“You kidnapped a child” You deadpanned looking between Gojo and the small kid.
“I didn’t kidnap him I rescued him!” Satoru retorted as if he was offended.
“You appeared, told me you knew my father and dragged me to Tokyo” Megumi said looking absolutely done with the white-haired manchild that stood beside him.
“Please get in befor the police comes” You sighed, opening your door for them. From that moment on Megumi had decided that he liked you.
——————————————————————————
“Y/N,” Gojo whined from the couch, flopped dramatically across the cushions like a Victorian widow. “He’s ignoring me again.”
You were at the kitchen counter, stirring rice and not even trying to hide your smirk. “He’s eight, Satoru. That’s what kids do when they have taste.”
Megumi, seated at the table and drawing a surprisingly accurate picture of Gojo being hit with a frying pan, didn’t look up. “She’s right.”
“See?!” Gojo sat up, pointing at the boy. “He’s turning you against me. This is mutiny.”
You turned around and gave Megumi a conspiratorial wink. “You say ‘mutiny,’ I say ‘good parenting.’”
Megumi nodded solemnly and went back to sketching Gojo with an increasingly ridiculous mustache. “I made you a new face,” he informed the man in question, holding up the drawing.
Gojo squinted. “Is that… is that me wearing clown makeup?”
“Yup.” Megumi said, clearly pleased with himself as he looked at his creation. “It’s realistic.”
Gojo slumped further into the couch, moaning. “He’s been here for three weeks and already he’s roasting me like I’m a side of beef.”
You walked over, setting a hand on the boy’s shoulder. “And yet you keep coming back for more.”
Megumi beamed up at you, completely ignoring Gojo’s exaggerated gasps of betrayal. He leaned against your side, hugging your waist like he’d done it a hundred times.
“Do I have to eat vegetables tonight?” he asked sweetly.
You brushed his hair back. “Just a few, okay?”
“Okay,” he said, because you asked.
Gojo muttered under his breath, “Unbelievable. You’re like a tiny, grouchy cat that only loves one person. And that person’s not me.”
Megumi stuck out his tongue as you found yourself thinking that maybe this whole mess wasn’t half as bad as you thought it would be.
——————————————————————————
At first, Gojo had been reluctant to admit he needed help. When he took in Megumi, he thought he could manage it, like everything else, through sheer force of will. But parenting wasn’t a cursed technique, and the boy was grieving, prickly, and deeply guarded.
Gojo could handle curses. Emotional vulnerability? Not so much. That’s where you came in.
You made routines. You learned which snacks Megumi liked (dango, not mochi), when to give him space, when to gently press, and how to coax laughter from him with the smallest things. Gojo watched it all in stunned silence, like someone witnessing a miracle. And somewhere along the line, “helping out” turned into “coming over every day,” and “sleeping on the couch sometimes” became “you basically live here now.”
Gojo never said a word about it. He just set out a mug for you in the mornings next to his own, which made your heart melt the first time you found it.
——————————————————————————
One rainy afternoon, Gojo burst into the kitchen dramatically. “He insulted my sunglasses.”
Megumi, sitting on the floor doing homework, didn’t even look up. “They’re stupid.”
“They’re iconic,” Gojo corrected, clutching his chest. “The height of sorcerer fashion.”
“They make you look like a bug,” Megumi replied. You tried very hard not to snort tea up your nose.
Gojo turned to you for backup. “Y/N. My emotional support. My confidante. Tell the child he’s wrong.”
You took one good look at him, pretending to pause and analyse his appearance before saying “You do kind of look like a cicada.”
Megumi shot a fist into the air in triumph.
Gojo stared at you both in betrayal, then sighed like a man aged by war. “This is what I get for raising the next generation. Ingrates and traitors.”
Megumi leaned against your side again, his voice soft. “Can you stay tonight?”
Gojo froze mid-rant. His eyes darted to yours.
You smiled down at the boy, brushing his hair away from his face. “Of course I can.”
Gojo cleared his throat. “You know, technically I live here, but sure, make yourself at home.”
“You sleep like a starfish,” Megumi muttered. “You don’t count.”
Gojo pointed a dramatic finger. “That’s it. You’re going to boarding school.”
Satoru pretended to be offended but when he saw you sitting by Megumi’s bed reading him a bedtime story he wished that was what the rest of his life would look like.
——————————————————————————
That night, after Megumi had gone to bed, only after you read him two whole chapters of a book about a dragon who only wanted to nap giving the characters dramatic voices and everything, Gojo hovered in the hallway, quiet in a way that never sat right on him.
You were cleaning up the kitchen when he finally spoke.
“You’re really good with him,” he said. “Better than me.”
You turned, drying your hands on a towel. “You’re doing fine, Satoru. He’s just… still figuring out who he can trust.”
“I’ve lost so many people,” Gojo said, voice barely above a whisper. “I’m scared I’ll mess this up too.”
You crossed the room and took his hand. “You’re not alone this time.”
He looked at you really looked at you and something in his posture softened. “I don’t think I’d be standing without you.”
You smiled. “Then don’t try standing without me.”
He blinked at you, and for once, had no comeback. Just a quiet “Okay.” It was easy really, he had already made himself that promise years ago.
——————————————————————————
A week later, everything came to a head over a bowl of miso soup.
Gojo had made dinner. That was mistake number one.
Megumi stared at the bowl with deep suspicion. “What is that?”
“It’s food,” Gojo said proudly. “Made by yours truly. You should feel blessed.”
Megumi poked the surface with his chopsticks. “It looks like a curse.”
“Eat it or starve,” Gojo replied cheerfully.
Megumi turned to you. “Please help.” A pleasing look on his face.
You sighed, crouching beside him. “Megumi, just one bite, and then you can have a cookie.”
He perked up. “Two cookies.”
“One and a half.” I countered.
“Deal.” He beamed at you as he shook your hand.
Gojo watched the exchange with mounting horror. “How come you can negotiate with him and I can’t?”
“Because she doesn’t threaten to feed me expired pudding,” Megumi replied dryly.
Gojo turned to you. “You’re raising a smartass.”
You kissed Megumi’s head. “I’m very proud of that fact.”
——————————————————————————
That night, as you tucked Megumi into bed, he held onto your hand tightly.
“I don’t want you to go” he whispered.
Your heart squeezed. “I’ll be here tomorrow. Like always.”
“No.” he said. “I mean I want you to stay. Forever. Like… with us.”
You sat on the edge of the bed, brushing a lock of hair from his eyes. “Megumi…”
“I like you better than Gojo,” he added, completely serious.
A laugh burst from your chest. “That’s not hard.”
“But he likes you,” Megumi went on. “A lot. He looks at you the same way he looks at sweets.”
You froze.
“He’s too dumb to say it, but I can tell,” the boy continued, burying his face in your arm. “So… if you like him too, maybe tell him? So you don’t end up being dumb together.”
You smiled into his hair. “You’re very wise for someone who just tried to flush broccoli down the sink.”
“I panicked.” He shrugged.
——————————————————————————
You found Gojo sitting on the back porch, eyes lifted to the stars. You stood behind him a moment, then walked over and sat down beside him.
“He told me to tell you.” you said quietly.
Gojo glanced at you, confused. “Tell me what?” Your expression was serious and his heart pounded harder in his chest.
“Megumi. He said you’re dumb and that I should tell you.” You joked, trying to ease the tension a bit.
He snorted. “That little gremlin.”
You nudged his knee with yours. “He also said you like me.”
Gojo’s mouth opened. Closed. “Well. That’s… obvious, I thought.”
You blinked, absolutely astounded at the fact that he admitted it so easily. “Excuse me?”
He looked over at you, blue eyes serious under the moonlight. “I’ve been in love with you since year one. I just… never thought I was allowed to have something like that.”
You exhaled slowly, heartbeat rattling. “Me too.”
He reached over, brushing your cheek with one hand. “Then let’s not be dumb anymore.”
You kissed him.
It was soft and slow and full of every quiet moment that had passed between you over the years. When you pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours.
“So,” he whispered, grinning. “Are we like… Mom and Dad now?”
“Only if we’re the kind of parents who let their kid roast them to oblivion.”
He laughed. “That’s parenting, babe.”
——————————————————————————
The next morning, Megumi walked into the kitchen, took one look at the two of you Gojo making pancakes, you perched on the counter wearing his hoodie.
“Took you long enough.” He said, rubbing the sleep off his eyes.
Then he slid onto a stool and asked, “Can I have extra syrup, Mom?”
Gojo promptly choked on his coffee.
You just smiled, leaned down, and ruffled the boy’s hair.
“Of course, sweetie.” You answered, trying to keep tears at bay.
Gojo groaned. “This house is rigged against me.”
Megumi smirked. “Deal with it, old man.”
Gojo sighed. “I’m going to live with you for the next ten years, aren’t I?”
“Yup.” You and Megumi, in perfect unison.
And honestly? Gojo wouldn’t have had it any other way.

The door slams behind him harder than he meant it to.
Noritoshi doesn’t speak. He’s soaked from rain and spattered with blood not all of it his. His jaw is locked so tightly you can see the muscle twitch beneath his skin. He’s not looking at you, not really. Just standing there, chest heaving, like if he moves too fast he might break something he can't fix.
You know that look.
“Nori…” You call his name softly. No answer.
He moves to shrug off his coat, but his hands are shaking just a little, barely noticeable but you catch it. He pauses. Still won't look at you. You take a step forward.
“You’re hurt.” You say, it’s not accusatory but you say it firmly.
“I’m fine.” He dismissed immediately.
“Don’t lie.” you short back, voice a bit louder than before, as you look at him a few frown forming on your face.
“I said I’m fine” He snaps, eyes sharp, voice cutting through the air like a blade. And then he flinches. Immediately. Like he regrets it before the sound has even faded.
You reach out, slowly as if you were trying to approach a wounded wild animal, not to stop him, not to fix him, just to touch. And that’s when he finally cracks.
His hand wraps around your wrist and pulls. Not hard. Not rough. But with a kind of quiet desperation that burns hotter than rage. His forehead drops to your shoulder. His breath is unsteady against your neck.
“I almost—” He chokes, voice rough and low. “I couldn't control it. I let my anger win. And I—” An that’s when you knew what had happened.
You thread your fingers into his hair. “You’re not him.”
That stops him.
He stiffens against you then collapses inward, pressing closer, mouth brushing your jaw, your throat. “But I’m trying to become someone he would’ve approved of.”
You tilt his face toward yours. There’s no mask left in him. No noble pride, no perfect posture just a man who’s been unraveling for years and finally let someone see the seams.
“You don’t need his approval,” You whisper. “You need to feel something that’s yours.”
And then you kiss him.
Not soft. Not sweet. But with urgency a shared ache, a wordless plea. He kisses back like he’s drowning, like he’s trying to memorize the shape of your mouth so he doesn’t forget who he is. His hands grip your waist, then your face, then your back like he can’t decide which part of you he needs most until he finally lifts you, hands on the back of your knees, making you hook your legs around his waist before he walks you backwards to the bed, and lowers you onto the sheets like you’re the last safe place left in the world.
Your clothes mow off before you can even realise it, scattering all over the bedroom’s floor. When he enters you, it’s slow but not gentle. It’s heavy. Intentional. Raw. His forehead presses to yours, eyes locked to yours, and he doesn't look away not once. Like he’s confessing things he can’t bear to say aloud through every roll of his hips, every whispered breath, every desperate, "Stay with me."
You cup his face as he moves inside you, and for the first time, he lets out a sound broken and breathless.
“I don't know who I am without all of this,” He confesses into your mouth.
You pull him closer, wrap your legs around his waist, and breathe, “Then start with this. With me. Just feel.”
And he does.
He thrusts deeper, harder not to dominate, but to lose himself. To feel. And when you moan for him, when you whimper his name like it’s the only one that matters, he shudders so hard you think he might fall apart right there inside you.
Afterward, his body covers yours completely, hands still trembling slightly as he strokes your skin like he’s not sure you’re real. You hold him through it through the shaking, the silence, the pieces coming back together.
And when he finally whispers, “Thank you,” voice hoarse against your collarbone…
You don’t say anything. You just hold him tighter, your hand on his back as you lazily trace patterns on his skin with your fingertips soothingly.
Because you understand It was never just about sex. It was about being seen. And still being held. He needed someone to see him, not the head of the Kamo clan, not the man that his father wanted him to be but just Noritoshi Kamo, a man than was more broken that he let on, a man that needed someone to stay by his side.
The next morning, light filters in through thin curtains, soft and pale the kind of morning where nothing has to be said right away.
Noritoshi wakes before you. He doesn’t move for a long time. Just lays there, eyes open, one arm slung low around your waist, your head resting on his chest. Your breath is slow and even. Peaceful. He watches your lashes flutter faintly, the soft indent of your cheek against his skin, the bare curve of your thigh over his.
You're real. You’re still here. And that terrifies him more than anything.
Last night plays behind his eyes like a film he isn’t sure he deserves to keep. The way you held him not just physically, but emotionally, like you were willing to carry pieces of him he never let anyone see. It was more than sex. Far more than he intended to give.
And yet… he doesn’t regret a second of it. It’s completely against all that he had believe up until now, un familiar and terrifying like nothing else and yet it felt right.
When you stir, it’s with a soft sound in your throat a sleepy exhale against his ribs. Your fingers curl slightly against his stomach. You shift, eyes blinking open, and find him already watching.
You smile and he swallows hard. That smile feels like sunlight through ice, a warm feeling spreading through his chest at the mere sight.
“Did you sleep?” You murmur, voice still heavy with sleep but not lacking any warmth.
“A little,” He admits.
You trace a lazy circle on his chest. “You stayed.”
“I did.” He murmurs, eyes not leaving your face.
He says it like it’s a fact. But the weight behind it like he’s surprised he could like he’s even more surprised you let him speaks louder than anything.
Your smile fades into something softer. More serious. “Do you regret it?” You’re scared of the answer but you needed to know where you stood now.
He doesn’t answer right away. But he tightens his arm around you.
“No,” he says finally. Quiet. Honest. “But I’m… not used to this.”
“Being wanted?” You ask him, your voice is quiet but he can hear it resonating somewhere deep inside of him.
He exhales, eyes flicking up to the ceiling. “Being allowed to want back.”
The silence that follows isn't heavy. It’s full. Like it holds everything neither of you can quite say yet.
You lift yourself up onto your elbows, half over his chest, and tilt his face toward you. Your lips are gentle when they meet his not asking for anything. Just reaffirming. Still here. Still his. Still real. And he melts into it.
For the first time in a long time, Noritoshi Kamo doesn’t feel like a weapon. Or a legacy. Or a curse waiting to happen.
He just feels like a man being loved. Quietly. Without condition.
And he holds you hands firm, eyes closed, breath steady like if he can just stay in this moment a little longer, maybe he can learn how to want something for himself.
Maybe he can learn how to stay if it’s by your side.

Intense and controlled.
Geto doesn’t rush, he absolutely loves taking his time with you. He’s methodical and deliberate, every touch is calculated to get the reaction he wants from you, taking his time to read your reactions watch the way you react to his touches, the way he can see goosebumps forming on your skin as he kissed down your body, hearing the sound you make. He likes control, not in a cruel way, but because he enjoys understanding you deeply and guiding the experience. He would never soy no to a quickie, but he definitely prefers taking his time.
Eye contact
As we said, Geto definitely loves watching you. He makes sure to lock eyes with you often, not just out of passion but because he wants to see everything: your pleasure, your hesitation, your trust. He loves just watching you, whether it was him making you get yourself off or even when you’re just in plain missionary. He definitely makes you look at him whenever you cum. It’s part of how he connects emotionally. And if you look up at him while you’re on your knees for him? Yeah he’s definitely a goner.
Soundproof.
It’s not like Geto is quiet but he’s not loud either. He lets out breathy moans in your ear, pants and heavy breathing heard in the room. He knows is presence alone is commanding, he doesn't need to raise his voice to make you feel the weight of his desire or his authority. You’ll always feel watched, wanted, and chosen. One thing he does love is calling you pet names, specially Angel.
Praise.
Geto definitely has a praise kink, whether it’s hik praising you or the other way around. Even when he’s rough he’s moaning in your ear telling you how good you feel, how amazing you look or how good you’re taking him in. As your body tenses, legs trembling, breath catching, his voice stays with you low, steady, coaxing. “Just like that... you’re doing so well for me.” He’s proud of being the one that brought you so much pleasure, he almost holds it like it’s something sacred. And afterward, he kisses your knuckles, your cheeks, your thighs, grounding you as if to say: you are cherished, even here.
When you’re the one that praises him it never fails to make him loose it, even on the days where he’s rougher. All it takes is you telling him something among the lines of: “No one touches me like you do.” And he growls into your ear, low and dangerous: “Say that again.” He wants to hear it. Over and over. Wants you to tell him he’s better, that he’s all you want, that he’s the only one who can wreck you and hold you afterward. Because if he can be that to you, maybe he’s not completely lost.
Pace and exceptions.
As it was said before, Suguro loves taking his time with you, however there is one situation where he can’t control himself and that’s when he’s sent out on missions, being obligated to spend too much time away from you for his liking. He doesn’t speak. Just grabs your jaw and kisses you hard, dragging you back into his body like you might vanish if he loosens his grip. You try to ask how the mission went he cuts you off with his mouth and lifts you onto the nearest surface. His voice is rough when he finally speaks: “Later. I need you now.” He strips you fast, barely breaking eye contact, pupils blown wide. His hand closes around your throat, thumb stroking just under your jaw not tight, just enough to hold you in place. His other hand is already between your thighs, fingers slicking through your wetness as he mutters, “Look at you already ready for me. You missed this, didn’t you?”
Little reminders.
It’s not like he means to mark you, but when he sees the reminders of the night before on your skin he loves it. Geto's hands clutch your hips as he thrusts into you from behind, pace relentless. Your back arches, your hands claw at the sheets, and he holds you in place like he can’t risk letting you go. He’s panting now soft curses slipping from his mouth as your body tightens around him. You glance back, and the look in his eyes is wild not just aroused, but desperate. Like he’s trying to lose himself in you completely. His grip on your hips is so tight that you’re sure that the day after you would have bruises of the shape of his fingertips.
And you were right. The next morning when you’re changing he catches a glimpse of the bruises on your hips and a few hickeys he didn’t even remember giving you here and there. He pulls you in by the waist, kisses them again, then whispers, “You wear me so well. Like you were made for this.”
Aftercare.
Geto always makes sure that you’re taken care of after the both of you are finished, although the way he does it depends on the kind of day he was having.
When he had a bad day once it’s over, he collapses beside you, breath ragged. He doesn’t say anything. But his arm slides around your waist and pulls you close, burying his face in your neck. You feel the tension leave him, slowly, like your skin is the only thing keeping him tethered to the present. And even if he never says it, you feel it in the way his body curls into yours. After a while he gets up, getting a towel and cleaning you up throughly before getting back into bed with you, his arms holding you a bit tighter.
On the good days though he absolutely dotes, even running baths for you. He loved getting in the bath behind you and holding you. The water is warm, fragrant with oils, and he slides into the tub with you, pulling you back into his chest. His arms wrap around your waist, his chin rests on your shoulder, and for long minutes he says nothing, just kisses your damp temple and lets the silence be tender. His fingers rub small, slow circles over your hips. “You were perfect,” he murmurs eventually, breath warm against your skin.

Summary: Choso had been learning what it was like to be human for a while now but what you didn’t expect was for him to ask you to teach him how to kiss.
CW (content warning): heavy kissing if you can call it that, clueless Choso, nothing really this is pure fluff once again!
AN (author’s note): Hello again! I’m so glad that you liked my Megumi one-shot, I’m currently working on a Yuji one and some Geto headcannons that I plan on publishing this week. English is not my first language and I’m typing this on my phone so I’m sorry if there are any typos or mistakes. This one was supposed to be a short drabble but I think I got a bit carried away again hahahah enjoy and let me know what you think! :)
Requests are open so feel free to send them my way! (you can check the character list on my pinned post)
“Would you teach me how to kiss?” Choso sat nervously, fidgeting with the rings that adorned fingers. He couldn't believe he had grown bold enough to ask this. Learning to kiss? It sounded like something so cliché, straight out of a crappy romance movie that he once had seen on TV with you on a lazy Saturday afternoon. It was so unlike him but it had been nagging him for a while.
You reached out and placed a reassuring hand on top Choso's, squeezing it reassuringly as a comforting smile formed on your face. The gesture made him look up, meeting your warm gaze with a mixture of gratitude and uncertainty. "I've never done anything like this before. What if I mess up? What if I’m horrible at it?" He asked a bit anxiously.
Taking a deep breath to steady his nerves, Choso leaned in slowly, his lips hanging tentatively a few inches from yours. He could feel the heat of your breath against his skin, sending shivers down his spine as he fought to suppress the butterflies fluttering in his stomach.
"Like this? Is this position is okay?" He whispered, his fingers grabbing your chin for a moment before pulling away.
“Yes that’s okay.” You reassured him, your voice was gentle as you looked kindly at him.
He pulled away slightly, a light pink dust adorned his face as he looked down at his lap. He had been the one to ask me to teach me everything about being human, wanting to fully understand what it was like to live as one, but you had never expected it to come to this. When he had asked you if you could teach him how to kiss you were absolutely stunned and yet here you were, sitting across from him on the floor of your apartment’s livingroom.
“Cho…” You called out to him softly, using the sweet nickname that he had grown so fond of, making him look up at you, although it was only momentarily because he avoided your gaze once again. “We don’t have to do this if you don’t want to, it’s completely fine.”
Choso's eyes flickered up to meet yours for a brief moment before darting away again. His fingers fidgeted with the hem of his shirt as he struggled to find the right words. "No, no... I want to do this," he finally managed to get the words out, his voice low and trembling slightly. "I... I just don't know how... It's difficult, I don’t really know how to explain it but I want to do this."
He took a deep breath and forced himself to meet your gaze again, his eyes was now filled with a mixture of embarrassment, determination, and vulnerability. "Please... I'd like to learn.. from you." He breathed out.
‘From you’ his words echoed inside your head, they made heat rush to your face and a pink hue that matched his appeared on your face. The truth was that you had grown to like Choso, not just as a friend. You didn’t even know when it started, maybe it was when the two of you started to spend more time together once you started teaching him things, maybe it was when you saw him taking care of Yuji the one time he had fell sick or when he came to your apartment with a bag full of your favourite snacks because you had a bad day at work. The way he was adorably innocent, eager to learn, the way he cared about his little brother and how gentle he was. Everything about him made you feel drawn to him and before you could realise it you had developed feelings for the half-curse sitting in front of you.
Your heart pounded inside your chest, you knew he trusted you but wasn’t it as if you were taking advantage of him by doing this? Maybe you should really back down, let him do this with someone he had feelings for, even though the thought made something in your chest twist.
“Are you sure?” You asked him once again “Your first kiss should be important, it’s supposed to be something meaningful, you could wait to ask someone you truly like and want to do this with”
Choso's heart skipped a beat as he noticed the pink hue on your face. He wasn't sure what it meant, but he couldn't help but wonder if it was a result of his words or something else entirely. An unknown feeling bubbling inside him at the thought.
He nodded his head, his determination stronger than before. "Yes, I'm sure." He responded, his voice firm but still tinged with nervousness. He swallowed hard, trying to gather the courage to say his next thoughts aloud. "I... you're the one I trust the most. I want to learn from you. I want my first kiss.... to be with you."
His words along with the look in his eyes when they met yours almost made your heart give our right that instant.
“Okay…” You breathed out as you slowly nodded, trying to gather your thoughts and keep your feelings somewhat at bay.
You paused for a moment, breathing deeply before speaking once again “You can put your hand on my face, just like you did before” You instructed him softly.
He did just as you said, placing his hand on your face, gently caressing your cheek. Choso's hand trembled slightly as he placed it on your face, his touch light and tentative yet tender. He caressed your cheek gently, his fingers barely grazing your skin as if he was afraid he'd hurt you.
His heart pounded in his chest, but he forced himself to maintain his composure. "Like this...?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
His eyes were fixed on your face, taking in every detail, every tiny movement. He wanted to memorize this moment, lock it away in his memory.
“Yes, that’s good” You breathed out, he felt as if his heart would burst out of his chest with how hard it was beating.
You were hyper aware of every movement he made now, he was so close that you could almost feel his breath on your skin. “Now you have to lean in…” You kept on instructing him, trying to keep your voice from trembling. Your whole body tingled with anticipation.
Choso nodded in response to your instructions, his heart racing as he leaned in closer. His face was now just inches from yours, his eyes fixed on your lips.
He could feel the heat radiating off of you, and the scent of your perfume infiltrated his senses. He swallowed hard, trying to calm his nerves, but his fingers were visibly shaking.
"Should I... close my eyes?" He whispered, his breath brushing against your skin.
“Mhmm” You hummed affirmatively in response “You close them once the kiss starts” And he did just that, he leaned in, his lips almost brushing yours, merely millimetres separating them. “You can just follow me and do what feels right to you okay?” You said right before the space between you.
Choso nodded, his heart pounding in his chest as he felt your breath tease his lips. The anticipation was almost too much to handle, and yet he couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement coursing through his veins.
"Okay..." He whispered, his voice barely audible.
With bated breath, he closed the remaining distance between them, his lips brushing yours in a tentative, gentle kiss. It was chaste, soft, and a little bit clumsy, but it was everything Choso had hoped for.
For a moment, it was as if the world around the two of had disappeared once his lips met yours. The kiss might have been soft and a bit clumsy at first but it made your heart swell inside your chest like never before.
Choso seemed to get a bit more comfortable and confident, making the kiss deeper and moving the hand that had been resting on the side of your face, caressing it, to the back of your neck, tangling his fingers on your hair, making a shock of electricity run down your spine at the feeling. His other arm snaked around your waist, pulling you closer to him, making you end up on top of his lap, straddling him as you wrapped my arms around his neck.
When you finally pulled apart, Choso didn’t let go of you, he kept his arm on your waist, holding you tightly keeping you flush against him and his hand on the back of your neck.
The both of you breathed heavily. “That was…” You trailed off as you tried to catch your breath.
Choso's grip on your waist tightened, as if he was afraid you would pull away from him. He leaned his forehead against yours, his breathing ragged and heavy as he tried to catch his breath. "That was... amazing," he whispered, his voice hoarse yet filled with awe.
He could still feel the lingering sensation of your lips against his, the way your body pressed against his, the way your hair felt under his fingers.
"I... I never knew it could feel like that..." He murmured, his eyes still fixed on your face, as if trying to memorize every single detail.
You were about to say something else but then Choso moved his hand, without saying a word grabbing yours and placing it over his chest right where his heart was. You could feel his heart hammering underneath your fingertips.
You pulled away slightly, to be able to look at him. What you found was a look of pure longing in his eyes before he spoke. “It always does this, whenever you’re around.” He whispered, keeping your hand on his chest. “Whenever I see you it picks up sand I get this funny feeling, when you smile or laugh it just makes me so happy but on the days that we can’t hang out I just feel so lonely and sad, even when I’m with other people like Yuji”
Every word he said made your heart skip a beat and your were almost sure that you were going to faint. “What does it mean?” He asked looking at you. “Why do I feel like this.”
“I…” You mumbled, completely dumbfounded. “I think that’s what people feel like when they love someone” You managed to say.
“Love…” He said, as if he was tasting the word on his lips. He had seen his fair share of romantic movies with both you and Yuji, he had seen how the protagonists in them talked about their feelings for each other and when he thought about it he realised that even that paled in comparison to how he felt when he was with you. “Yeah I think I’m in love with you.”
Right as those words slipped past his lips the world around you seemed to stop moving completely. “I…” You stammed, trying to think of what to say. “This isn’t something you just say lightly, you have to be sure about it, you have to-” But then you were cut off by his lips.
He kissed you more confidently than before, his grip on you tightened even though it was impossible to pull you even closer. He pulled apart just barely after a little while. “Yes, I’m pretty sure I love you.” He whispered before bringing his lips back to yours.
He kissed you time and time again, until he finally let you tell you that you felt the same. Pretty safe to say that Choso Kamo was definitely a fast learner.
Summary: Megumi suddenly wakes you up in the middle of the nigh because he can’t sleep and he needed someone to help him.
CW (content warning): mentions of nightmares, Megumi being absolutely emotionally constipated, some cursing, nothing else really, this is pure fluff pretty much.
AN (author’s note): so I was scrolling through Cai and ended up stumbling into a bot with this prompt, got carried away and here we are. This is the first time I’m writing anything Jjk related so I’m still trying to figure this out a bit. Also English is not my first language so I’m sorry if there are any mistakes. Enjoy and let me know if you have any requests for future works!
You were sleeping soundly in your dorm room, tightly tucked in under your covers when, suddenly, the creaking sound of the door woke you up. What the hell? Was someone breaking into my dorm? Who could it be at this hour? You thought to yourself, suddenly feeling hyper alert.
That sound paired with the fact you couldn't really see anything made your senses go alert, and without thinking, you threw a pillow in the direction of my door. A quiet though was heard in the room, you had hit something.
"What the- hey, it's just me!" You heard Megumi whisper-yell in an annoyed manner on the other side of the room after he'd supposedly been hit by the pillow.
"I…” He trailed off, seemingly hesitating on wether he should say something now or just turn back and go back to his room. “I couldn't sleep." He ended up admitting quietly, scratching the back of his neck while his footsteps slowly approaching your bed.
“Fucking hell, you scared the living shit out of me Megumi!” You whisper-yelled back as you watched Megumi’ figure walking towards my bed. You clutched your chest, feeling your heart drumming inside as you tried to get you eyes to focus to the darkness of the room.
The two of you had been best friends for a long time, at the beginning he flat out ignored you when you first met, he was pretty aloof and always kept people at arms length but little by little you had managed to see through that and you became close. He was still terribly emotionally constipated, lacking some common social skills, and sometimes he still came off as cold and stoic but you knew he actually really cared about being a sorcerer, about his missions and about the people closer to him, despite being terrible at showing it.
“What happened?” You asked him as I sat up on your bed, moving closer to him when when the bed dipped slightly under his weight once he sat at the edge of it. He let out a soft sigh and paused for a moment before turning to look at me when you moved closer to him.
"Couldn't sleep again." He replied in a calm manner, looking down as he avoided eye contact for a moment. Then suddenly he looked up at you, his dark blue gaze meeting yours. "Are you mad I woke you up?" He asked, tilting his head to the side just barely as he spoke.
Your gaze softened at his question and you placed a hand on his shoulder gently caressing it. “No of course not” You quickly answered, not wanting him to feel bad about waking me up. Knowing Megumi it must be something really important if it had made him come here now. “You just almost gave me a heart attack, but it’s fine” You added in an attempt to make a light joke but it only got a half-assed chuckle from Megumi. Yeah there’s clearly something wrong.
The bags under his eyes were very noticeable even with the lack of lighting in room right now, he just looked plainly exhausted and the sight made your chest tighten.
“Do you want to talk about it?” You asked him softly, your voice quiet as you shifted a bit, resting your head on his shoulder.
He hummed softly in response when you placed your hand on his shoulder, and his gaze softened slightly as he felt you gently running your hand over it. He exhaled quietly, and then shifted his position slightly to look at me directly.
Your head resting on his shoulder felt good, a reminder that you were there, that he was awake and no longer seeing his nightmares and he relaxed a little more, his arm instinctively wrapping around your waist as he leaned back a bit. He was quiet for a few moments before he spoke again.
"I think talking... won't fix anything." He mumbled softly.
“Megs…” You whispered, the nickname falling off your lips almost unconsciously, at the beginning he had hated it, but as time passed and the two of you get closer he ended up growing fond of it. You were the only one allowed to call him that, so whenever he heard it it made him feel somewhat warmer inside. He had always been like this, he was absolutely terrible at opening up and talking about how he felt.
You let him pull you closer as he wrapped an arm around your waist. You knew that pressuring him into talking about whatever was on his mind would only make matter worse right now so you decided not to. “How long has it been like this?” You asked him quietly, the bags under his eyes were a clear indicator that he hadn’t been able to get a good sleep in a couple of days at least. God he looked terrible.
He sighed softly as he tightened the grip of his arm around you waist slightly for a moment, his fingers lightly drumming on the small of your back as he pondered how to answer the question. He couldn't even remember the last time he slept through the night without being woken up by a nightmare. The bags under his dark blue eyes showed the toll it had taken on him.
"A while." He mumbled in a quiet voice, almost as if it had taken him a lot of work to say that out loud his gaze averting from yours for a moment right after.
You sighed as he answered, a troubled expression on my face. Part of you wanted to scold him, tell him that he should have come to you sooner and that he was stupid for neglecting himself like this once again, but another part of you was just worried about him and wanted to comfort and hold him.
You sighed and pulled away for a moment, Megumi’s frown deepened at the gesture almost as if he was disappointed at the lack of contact but you didn’t say anything. Instead you just pulled back the covers of the bed, silently offering him the space to lay next to you.
He truly had felt a pang of disappointment when you pulled away from him, the loss of contact making him feel suddenly lonely and cold, but before he could even verbalize any protest, you were already offering him a space in your bed. He felt a slight flutter in his chest at the gesture, and without a word, he silently crawled into your bed, laying beside you.
He was a little flustered by the sudden proximity, but even more so when you pulled the covers over the both of you. His arm instinctively wrapped around your waist once again, seeking your touch.
The room was quiet, only your breathings could be heard. At first Megumi was a bit tense, but as he wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you closer he seemed to relax ever so slightly.
“Do you want to watch something or do you want to try and get some sleep?” You offered him softly, knowing that despite being seemingly calmer now he was still clearly worried about something that kept him from sleeping.
Since Megumi was pretty bad at communicating and usually kept a lot of thing to himself you had learnt to read him really well by now and you were able tell that he was still hesitant about something, maybe even worried that he was bothering you because of the fact that he had woken you up for something so silly as having nightmares. He felt childish and reluctant to talk about it because of that.
He remained quiet, his gaze flickering up to meet yours momentarily when you spoke. There was still some uneasiness written in his tired eyes, but he was definitely calmer now that he had you by his side.
He sighed softly, his fingers gently starting to trace patterns on your back as he thought about what to do. He knew he was bothering you, how could he not be? He had woken you up at god knows what time in the night to dump his problems on you. But... he needed you. He needed the reassurance, the comfort that he only felt when he was around you.
I want to help to do something to help him but I don’t know what. The feeling of Megumi’s fingers softly tracing patterns on your back as he held onto you, only made it harder to concentrate as it made your chest flutter.
“If you can’t fall asleep I’ll stay awake with you” You stated, your voice was still soft but firm. “We don’t have to watch anything or even talk if you don’t want to.” You added as you moved your hand so you were caressing his face, both of you laying on your sides facing each other “We can just stay like this if that’s what you want”
You really wanted to reassure him, it didn’t bother you in the slightest that he had come to you at this ungodly hour in the middle of the night. You would gladly stay awake every night if he ever needed you to without a doubt.
He nuzzled his face into your hand when you started gently caressing his cheek, his eye closing for a moment as he took in the feeling of your touch. He sighed softly, a hint of gratitude crossing his face.
Hearing your reassurance brought a little bit of peace to him. He knew he could be difficult to deal with at times, but the fact that you were willing to stay up with him despite that made his chest feel warm.
He shifted a little closer to you, his hand still resting on your back."You... promise you won't leave?"
A small smile played on your lips as Megumi asked you to promise him that you wouldn’t leave him, as if that ever was a possibility.
“I promise, I’m not going anywhere” I whispered back, still caressing his face gently as you looked at each other. Megumi’s eyes were searching your face, looking for any sign that might have indicated that you were uncomfortable or doing this out of pity but all he was able to find was care and softness that made the walls that he had spent so much time building around him tremble.
He sighed softly as he looked into your eyes, his gaze softening further when he heard your words. A slight flutter was still present in his chest as he was reminded of just how much he needed you, how much he cared about you.
"Thank you..." He mumbled, his hand on your back sliding down to your waist as he pulled you a bit closer.
He pressed his forehead against yours, his eyes closing as he took in the moment. Just being like this with you brought him a sense of peace and comfort, something he desperately needed. You felt him relax even further under your touch, his expression finally softening up as you let him pull me even closer and rested his forehead against yours.
A small smile formed on your lips and you felt your heart skipping a beat. You had to remind yourself that this wasn’t the time to let your feelings out, Megumi needed you. He probably just sees me as a friend, nothing else.
“Besides, you came into my room, so I technically can’t even go anywhere else even if I wanted to.” You added, jokingly in an attempt to cheer him up even if it was just a bit.
This time, unlike the last time when he had first barged into your dorm, a faint, tired chuckle escaped his lips as you tried to joke with him. He knew you were trying to make light of the situation, and he appreciated it. That flutter in his chest only grew more intense as he silently acknowledged the fact that he felt so comfortable with you. He felt a bit guilty for having those thoughts, but deep down... he knew he was developing feelings for you.
"Right." He mumbled back, a slight smirk forming on his tired face. "So I guess you're stuck with me now."
“Exactly” I said amused, playing along, some sense of pride growing inside your chest at the sight in front of you.
The small smile that had formed on Megumi’s face, and even though it was small and tired smile it was still something and the fact that you had been the one that caused it made my chest flutter lightly. I wish he could be like this more often.
Megumi was still holding onto you, his fingers tracing patterns on your back “Oh who will save me from this torture?” You asked dramatically.
He couldn't help but huff out a small, weary chuckle at your dramatic response. The tiredness and strain in his eyes was still visible, but being with you seemed to be helping.
"No one will save you. You're stuck with me." He mumbled with a bit of amusement in his voice as he continued to hold onto you, the hand on your back still tracing patterns until he paused for a moment, his gaze flickering back up to meet yours. His expression suddenly looked a little more vulnerable as a thought crossed his sleep-deprived mind.
“Oh what a terrible fate” You whispered as you laughed a bit until you noticed.
You were about to say something else but then Megumi stopped moving his hand along your back, making you gaze up at his face, only to find him already staring at you, a look in his eyes you had never seen before. You just stayed there, not daring to move a muscle in case it would break the moment, waiting for him to do or say something. You could feel your heart pounding inside your chest. Is he able to hear it? Given how close the two of you were it was certainly a possibility.
You felt his fingers trembling slightly against your back as he stared at you, the expression in his tired eyes growing a tad more vulnerable.
He was tired. He was tired, and he didn't have the mental capacity to filter his thoughts like usual. The words slipped past his lips before he could stop them, the admission coming out in a soft, quiet, almost vulnerable voice. "...I don't deserve you."
You froze for a moment as you heard him, his voice unusually quiet and vulnerable. You looked into his eyes, searching for something, although you didn’t even know what. Your heart melted and ached equally at the sudden confession.
“Megs…” You whispered, his nickname falling off my lips as a breath once again.
You moved your hand that had been caressing his face, now running your fingers through his hair gently as you kept your gaze fixed on his. “I really wish you could see yourself like I see you”
*His eyes fluttered shut at your touch, his head nuzzling slightly into your hand as he felt the gentle caress of your fingers in his hair. He leaned into it slightly, as if chasing the comfort it provided him.*
His expression was still vulnerable, his weariness clearly visible on his tired face. He slowly opened his eyes again, staring into yours as he spoke in that same quiet voice.
"You... make me feel things. Things I don't think I should feel."
With each word he spoke you could feel your heart sinking deeper and deeper, terrified of what this could lead to but also pained that he felt like that, like he was undeserving of love, of having feelings:
“Why?” You breathed out.
He let out a soft exhale, his expression turning a mix of vulnerability and uncertainty. He continued to stare into your eyes as he struggled with his thoughts, silently fighting against his own mind. It was taking all of his energy to keep his guard down, to be open and vulnerable.
"Because..." He paused for a moment, his voice growing softer as he spoke. "Because you're too good for me. You're too good, and I'm... I'm just... broken."
You could’ve never dreamed that he would also have some kind of eelings for you, you should’ve been happy about this but instead, it broke your heart to hear him speak of himself like that.
“You’re not broken Megs” You said, both your hands cradling his face, making him look at you. “Yes you might have some baggage but that doesn’t make you broken or undeserving of love” You stated and paused briefly, gathering your thoughts for a moment. It is now or never.
“You are incredibly infuriating, you always keep your feelings to yourself, you push people away and act as if you don’t really care and you make me want to strangle you most of the time. Getting to know you is probably one of the hardest things I have ever done.” A frown formed on Megumi’s face as he listened to you. “But you’re also the most loyal, unintentionally funny and caring person I have ever met.” You were pouring your feelings out and paused briefly to take a breath before adding something else. “You’re truly amazing Megumi Fushiguro and I’m in love with you.”
There it is, I finally said it. He listened intently as you spoke, his tired eyes fixed on your face as you held his face in your hands. He could feel his defences crumbling down as he took in your words, your confession making his heart beat faster in his chest.
As you finished speaking, he was left speechless for a moment, his mind processing what you had just said. Your words had left him reeling, his heart and mind in a turmoil of emotion.
"You... love me?" He managed to choke out, his voice barely above a whisper.
All you managed to do was nod in response. “I love you.” You repeated, even more firmly than before if it was even possible.
His eyes widened slightly as you repeated the words, completely caught off guard by your confession. He could feel his heart thumping loudly in his chest as he struggled to process the fact that you loved him. Megumi was used to keeping people at a distance, he was used to being alone, but hearing those words come out of your mouth made his mind reel.
"You... love me." He repeated softly, almost as if testing the words on his tongue. Then there was silence.
“This is supposed to be the part where you say whether you feel the same or not Megs” You said, your heart was beating so hard inside your chest that you thought that it would burst out of it at any second now.
He stayed quiet, only making me more nervous m. Had I gone too far? Maybe I had misrepresented what he meant earlier, maybe I had just ruined our friendship forever. Your mind started spinning. “I uh… it’s okay if you don’t I just-“ Your nervous rambling was suddenly cut off by Megumi’s lips.
As your anxious rambling was about to escalate, he silenced you by abruptly pressing his lips against yours. It was a quick, impulsive action, born out of his need to shut you up and reassure you that you weren’t wrong. It was a bit rough and uncoordinated due to him acting on instinct, but the message behind it was clear.
He pulled back from the kiss after a few seconds, his tired eyes fixated on you once again.
"I love you too." He whispered softly, his voice still hoarse from fatigue and emotion.
“Oh…” You let out, dumbfounded as your mind and heart were reeling from the kiss. “That’s good then” You chuckled awkwardly, your face surely blushing as you felt your whole body growing hot.
Megumi shook his head, adoring eyes looking at you as if you were the best thing he had ever seen which, to him, you were before leaning in again, his lips meeting yours once more.
That night neither of you really slept, but instead of nightmares, the night was filled with soft kisses, adoring glances and whispered ‘I love you’s.
