Marks the end of an era
This year was by far one of the hardest year. Seeing loved ones in severe pain and not having a damn clue what to do to help, changed me. Some left us too soon, others fighting a battle with no certainty of survival. Things got so bad that I remember falling asleep thinking, “g-d can things get any worse? I’m sorry, please help stop this”. Some would say to me “tomorrow’s a new day”. I would think to myself, NO tomorrow is not a new day, tomorrow is just a continuation of today, yesterday and the day before. Not feeling any sort of stability and security nearly destroyed me.
What did get me through were those special people, reminding me that there’s light at the end of every tunnel. It might be a long and bumpy ride but the light will eventually come. You have the blessing of life (some don’t get that), don’t take that for granted. Never give up, always try to stay strong for yourself and others around you. You’re a warrior in your book but a chapter for people around you. And always remember, in order for the light to shine so brightly the darkness must be present.
