the mcspirk interactions were always like a vibe of like bones and kirk were the jocks lightly picking on nerd spock in high school but kirk was secretly in love with him like kirk would intervene if anyone was intentionally cruel and be like “don’t mess with him, only i can do that” and then kirk asks spock if he wants a ride home after school one day and they’re totally silent on the drive home with spock ramrod straight in the passenger seat and trying not to let his feet touch the empty mcdonald’s cups on the floor while casting surreptitious glances at kirk driving and then kirk breaks the silence like “so… is it like true that you guys bond with people for life like even men maybe haha”
