Recently been making some Fire Emblem characters in Soul Calibur. I’ll definitely post some more. I know I posted my Chrom, Eirika, and Frederick ones...at least I think I did. I dunno. Here’s Sumia, Zelgius, Byleth, Dimitri, Edelgard, and Marth. Been working on some other people including Claude, Cordelia, Gaius, and Klein. So...here ya go for now. I know they aren’t the best (I gotta work with what I have and what I currently have unlocked lol), but I go in and make some changes every once in a blue moon. I’m definitely proud of my Sumia though.

I did my best to make Chrom, Frederick, and Eirika. Clipping items were/are a major issue, but I took what I could get with the items/layering I could get... Thinking about making other characters. I have a “guest” character slot where I just make a character for a little while before replacing them with a new “guest”. I could make a bunch of FE people I suppose.

fuck it. be creative even if you never really *make* anything. write out plot synopses of stories and then move on. design OCs you'll never use. make mood boards and concept art and don't do anything with them. life's too short to forget everything that inspired you and creation doesn't have to be "complete" to be worth the time you put into it.

Ads on tumblr mobile (January 2022) for android that force open the app store without any click/interaction, violating tumblr's ad policy:

-lyft

-doordash

-crypto.com

-the epoch times, far right media outlet for the Falun Gong cult

at first I was ignoring them, but there's no way to report them and not even an indication of which specific ads are causing this behavior at the time it happens, so this is the only way I can put them on blast. Browser interference is explicitly prohibited in tumblr's advertising guidelines, it's no different from opening popups. Expect updates because this happens CONSTANTLY, these are just the ones I've seen in the last day or two, and feel free to add others doing it.

A lot of people have added onto this post with information about how to make these links give you a confirmation before opening, or how to block ads natively on your phone. That's not the point here. It's about the double standard of Tumblr aggressively moderating all remotely explicit user content while allowing obnoxious, predatory, and straight up spam advertising that violates THEIR OWN POLICY. They're not paying attention just because someone paid a few bucks.

It is a good idea to take those anti ad measures. But don't absolve Tumblr of the bare minimum responsibility to make sure their website isn't full of actual malware.
