A Clockwork Orange (2019) | Teater Ekamatra i had to pinch myself several times throughout this production, because there I was, working with some of the best people in the industry. this pudgy 20 year old boy got to work with people who he had idolized for most of his secondary school life (i always joke that i made my way into the sg theatre scene by appearing as an audience at so many shows/talks that people were forced to notice me). this show had been nothing less than a rollercoaster ride. fun fact: i didn't know that the show 'orange' that they texted me about was actually 'a clockwork orange' so like for the longest time i was like 'ah yes its gonna be a chill show' only to be slapped into reality (literally). i have so many people to thank. everyone at Teater Ekamatra who put their trust in me (even though they had so little reason to) and for being the people who have been there since i started out in the theatre scene. to Effendy who keeps making me do crazy things - i really owe my entire career to you at this point - thank you for always pushing me and for always putting me in some kind of kemban (i think at times you know me better than i do). to the gila-gila cast who were so giving and generous and so, so kind and so, so brilliant. to the designers for creating a world i oddly never wanted to leave - that hot pink world where keroncong is always in the air. to the SM team for always being there - you guys were my backbone for the show. and to everyone who came: abih amacam? gila kan? https://www.instagram.com/p/B3RirlZA8uU/?igshid=18knwehcz9sex
