Zelda Heritage Post
I’m sorry I support all jokes but cave johnson would not be supportive of trans women
Due to a recent accident in the labs, the boys downstairs have found a way to turn men into women. Amazing breakthrough, and we wish you all luck on your transition. And your job hunt. You’re all fired. Sorry boys, nothing against you. We just don’t need women around here trying to clean up the lab while the men are trying to do real work. Cave out.
bacteriography portrait of Five Pebbles I made from yeast , mold , acrylic paints and other stuff i found
gives you a blj (backwards long job)
i will forever be obsessed with ben folds five - brick (dance mix)
i need to own this cd, it's an important piece of history
now and again im reminded how much i hate gimmick blogs. if you run a gimmick blog fuck you
at best the gimmick is unoriginal and obnoxious cause everybodys climbing over each other trying to be the next elvis or identifying-cars or isff and at worst its actively platforming transmisogyny as tboys dogpile the "transfem with a theme" of the week. delete your gimmick blog
ive said it before but if your gimmick amounts to "i honk a horn at the end of your post" i should be able to press a button that bricks your phone
i like when people say that the universality of campbell's hero's journey only applies to western mythology/folklore. brother, i am going to hold your hand when i say this... it doesn't apply there too
wonderful things are happening in my mentions
if we’re gonna talk about spamton’s transmasc coding (and we should) we also HAVE to talk about how that relates to his relationship to the transfem nonbinary character he tries to steal the soul of because he thinks it will free him and solve all his problems. which could mean nothing
never heard abt the transmasc spamton interp, but i will always reblog someone saying kris is a transfemme enby
(tags via @starkittyshine)
my read of spamton as transmasc comes first and foremost from his association with mettaton, who’s canonically transmasculine. we’re told by swatch that the NEO body in queen’s basement was created by a lightner:
to me, this is very clearly mettaton. the use of they/them for the lightner, which is what all ghosts use when not fused to a body, as well as the visual similarities between the two NEO bodies:
pointed wings, long legs, high shoulders, the gun arm. not to mention the shared musical motifs.
in deltarune, mettaton is a shut in who rarely leaves his house. the only people he talks to are his cousins (one of whom is presumably also deeply in the closet). he’s bored and lonely, and he dreams of a body of his own — an allegorical transition in the worlds of undertale and deltarune. one day, he goes to the library and opens the paint program on the communal laptop. but nothing comes of it. he thinks nothing ever will come of it, that his hopes and his dreams will never be realized.
like. closeted boy makes his ideal body on a computer but gets scared and tries to delete it and scrub it from existence but the idea is so powerful that it’s still there and it ends up in queen’s basement. and spamton knows about it somehow?? did someone tell him?? and he wants it desperately because he thinks it’ll give him freedom. but it fails because of all the Literal strings attached, because the guy who made it is so deeply closeted and repressed.
spamton is frustrated and angry and he turns to the person who put him in this body and demands their soul, their power, the thing that makes them one of the heroes of the prophecy. he either doesn’t know/doesn’t fully understand that this soul is causing them pain and taking their autonomy or he doesn’t care and wants the power anyway. he covets this young transfem person for what they have because he’s deeply dissatisfied with himself. the fun gang cuts all of his strings but one. he thinks they’re setting him free out of friendship; he sees it as kris finally repaying his “genorisity” that he showed them. in his excitement, the last string on the NEO body snaps, and he falls lifelessly to the ground. he finds himself back in his old puppet body.
“It seems... after all... I couldn't be anything more than a simple puppet,” he says, his voice sounding the clearest and most normal it has since you met him. “But you three... you're strong. With a power like that, maybe you three can break your own strings. Let me become your strength.”
the nail in the coffin to me is how rattled kris is after the encounter and how ralsei (egg who is so repressed that she won’t allow herself to feel anything but happiness) tries to immediately brush it off as a malfunctioning program and move on.
there’s also this video essay i found quite interesting, goes through a lot of little evidence for the concept and how spamton as a character is coded, both literally and metaphorically.
it’s all so, SO interesting to me. i often forget just how interesting it is to me because fans are generally so uninterested in talking about it and would rather have yaoi shipwars or whatever
do your TME friends know you have this blog? Do they see what you post here? How do you feel about them reading through it?
yeah. they've told me they've learned a lot from my blog and they appreciate what I'm doing lol
shocked to know you have "tme" friends with how you talk about them
every day I put my TME friends in my industrial paste mixer
sorry @techne-makre , i just really liked this interaction
when you deny a word its meaning, you are saying "this isn't a concept worth communicating or describing."
when you continually push men into the definition of lesbianism, you are saying "women who love women aren't a concept worth communicating or describing."
If a word is so vague that it means something different to everyone saying it, such that every time you say the word you are forced to clarify its meaning, the word is useless.
Language's primary purpose is to convey meaning to other people. That's what words are for.
If everyone has a personal definition for lesbian, and therefore forces anyone who uses it to go on and explain what they mean when they say it, the word is useless.
I refuse to let this continue to happen. A lesbian is a woman who loves women. End of fucking story. Get your own words.

It all being in Chinese with a "what the dog doin" near the end fucking killed me.

Shout out to the autistic who’s abilities have regressed as they’ve gotten older.
“You didn’t used to be like this when you were a kid.” I know please don’t remind me
"This never bothered you when you were a kid."
Yes it did. I just let it slide because I was taught that I'm "too sensitive" anytime something bothered me. But now I'm finally standing up for myself.
"You never struggled with this when you were a kid."
Yes I did. I just burned myself out in order to do it so I wouldn't be punished. But now I'm accepting myself enough to not force myself to do what I was never meant to do.
"You didn't have these problems when you were younger."
Yes, I did. I just spent my child/teen years with structured institutions like school while not having to worry about whether I had a roof over my head or food to eat and spent my early adult years using up every bit of adrenaline I will ever have to ignore the fact that I've been chronically burnt out my whole life.
