Reblogging again because I could listen to this all day

This would be my reaction too if I ever won Worlds
ROHAN BOLE WORLD CHAMPION 2017šāļø over the moon for this girl, such an inspiration!!šÆ never give up on your dreamsšāØ
I know the wordĀ āinspirationā gets thrown around a lot - but when it comes to Rohan that is exactly what she is.Ā I can say from the privilege of getting to dance in the same class as her previously I have honestly never met anyone who has worked tirelessly towards their goal with so much determination. After every set back or disappointment this girl has dealt with any result with so much class and poise. To put 110% into every dance, at every class, week in-week out for so many years. Rohan is the true definition of a champion.Ā

āAll forms of dance school or individual identification, be it by sign, shape, colour-piece, logo or symbol be banned from all solo costumes worn by any competitor in any competition.ā
Pretty inconsiderate of you to put a video of you on at worlds when there's two other girls in it, not everyone wants their choreography plastered all over the Internet
if they really wanted it removed they could contact me and ask but I didnāt think it would be a huge issue.. and it wasnāt. one of the girls in the video was happy it was recorded so she could see herself on stage. the whole ādonāt videoā thing is the worst rule anyways and Iām so against it but thatās an essay for another day.. bottom line is, any good dancer could remember choreo they wanted to steal by just watching at the competition and any great dancer doesnāt need to steal choreography to be successful in this sport š

I videotaped myself practicing a while ago and I was proud of my calf in this picture lolol Also I cropped out my face because my face is awful when I dance

Everyone who's ever said that the Southern US region is the easiest...
Well, weāve clearly proved you wrong.
Iāve never gotten so many notes on a post. This means a lot to me because years ago, when I used to stalk the Irish dance side of Tumblr but didnāt have my own blog, I saw a lot of hate towards the Southern Region. It hurt me a lot because we canāt help where we live and weāre damn good dancers because we have something to prove. I was brought home to the same house I live in today on the day I was born. I have gone to the same studio in my home town for ten years of doing Irish dance. Just because my family didnāt move to New York or Boston for me to dance at a āpopularā Irish dance school doesnāt mean I canāt have a good a chance as any to win big. Due to illness and unforeseen circumstances, I never got a chance to even compete to qualify for Worlds. I only competed at the oireachtas once as an open prizewinner level dancer in the traditional set dance championship. I was very close to qualifying for prelims, but didnāt make my teacherās deadline, so I had to compete in Trad Set instead. That day opened my eyes because the novice/prizewinner dancers in my competition were insanely good. And we were all obviously from the Southern Region. I was floored by the talent and I think many of the dancers in my group would have recalled, if not qualified for nationals/worlds, in the regular competition- and we were all definitely novice/prizewinner dancers. I can assure there was no fudging of level. I think sometimes itās hard to move up because Irish dance is so subjective. It doesnāt mean youāre not a good dancer. Iāve seen novice dancers that were better than OC dancers before. Itās all subjective and based on who you compete against that day and what the judge thinks. Itās the same with the Southern Region vs. other religions. We havenāt suddenly gotten good. Maybe we didnāt win due to subjectivity beyond our control. I didnāt think my group would be that great due to the fact that it was not open to champs and I was falsely believing the s*it spewed about the SR. I may have had the stomach flu that day, but that was only part of the reason I was shocked I placed 5th. It was because the dancers were AMAZING. I was scared I wouldnāt make the recall, which was only eight dancers. I am sorry that I falsely assumed those ideas that Southern Region dancers were inferior. Weāre incredible and just as amazing as anyone from California, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, or heck, even Ireland. Go SR. And go Simone and Saoirse, and also Jason, our first ever World Champion. @simone-adele @saoirsedeboy @jasonhays91
