There had been so many different theories of why he had done what he had done or what exactly happened, she didn’t know herself and that scared her to no end. Her reached down to grab the bottle of water, taking a long sip from it. She ran a hand through her long hair, glancing around at the people that passed by. They all seemed so blissful or happy, but she knew that it wasn’t the case for some of them. It never war.After taking another sip of her water, she glanced and saw Ava there.“Oh hey.” She spoke, her head titled to the side.
It was hard not to get her heart pounding any moment she heard someone approaching her. Her mind, always flashing back to the moment she was in the club, would not let her concentrate. Upon hearing Amanda’s voice, she froze up and looked to find her just having a normal day. “Hey, Amanda,” she said trying to make herself feel comfortable. “What are you up to?”

“there’s risk in everything,” he tried to reason. “yeah, but— you know, that’s the point.” maybe it was just his adrenaline rush talking, but it seemed like fun.
It was probably better to let him do what he wanted, but it just wouldn’t sit right with her. He was probably going to do it no matter what. “If you want to do it, it’s fine. If you end up at the hospital, don’t say that I didn’t warn you.”

school had been shut down, and yet, dounya still felt eyes burning into her back, like she would have felt in the corridors of the school building. people were staring, she was fairly certain. she didn’t like it. her hands resting on her stomach ( the most comfortable, and strangely comforting place to keep them ), dounya turned around, noticing someone not too far away. “what are you staring at ??” she snapped.
One thing to know about Ava: the only time she’s upset is when someone yells at her for no reason. Trying to suppress her frustration, she clenched her fists. “Clearly, not you. You’re actually in front of a poster I was trying to read.”

“yeah, exactly. it’s just crazy how no one saw this coming, you know?” how he didn’t see it, having been so close to his entire family, how henry didn’t see it even though they lived right next door to each other; hell, probably his own family couldn’t have imagined sam would do something like this. “shit, i wasn’t even at the school when it all went down. didn’t see any of it, but i was out in the parking lot with a bunch of other people. heard a fucking gunshot go off,” he sighed. “i’m rambling, sorry,” he shook his head. it was obvious he had been holding all this in, but he couldn’t help it— this girl seemed so understanding.
She stayed silent, listening to what he had to say. There was no need for her to interrupt, and interruptions could throw him off from his train of thoughts. “It’s okay,” she said. Feeling as though it wouldn’t help him enough, she started speaking. “I remember being the photography club room. I forgot why, maybe it was to talk to the teacher or drop off some photos I took that weekend, but I remembering seeing him.”
A shiver ran down her spine as her mind took her back. “I thought he was coming by to do the same since we were both in the same club. But I heard a gun go off. I ran up to him instinctively to get him somewhere safe, because the sound was nearby. It wasn’t until he pointed his gun at him that I realized he was the one who was shooting.” ‘ but he didn’t shoot and i’m been spending the last few days wondering why didn’t he pull the trigger. ’ “I was able to go to another room and stayed there with other people before we knew that he was in police custody.”
“I’m sorry,” she said after taking a long pause. It wasn’t an easy thing to say, but it was something they both clearly needed to get off their chest. Ignoring the tremble in her voice, she asked, “can we talk about something else?”

“ i get what you’re saying, but — it’s not a big deal, ” she tried to reassure ava; still a somewhat strange concept, but she wasn’t complaining about it, she supposed. “ wanna look around? i could go for some food. ”
Knowing that she wasn’t acting like herself, she faked a smile at Nevaeh. “I don’t mind. I just hope that it’s not closed or something.”

“wait, don’t step there.” Regan bolted towards the other, “I’m trying to recreate uh, the scene for an assignment and maybe- maybe find out who’s behind everything y’know.” she reasoned, “tough job.”
Following the stranger’s instructions, she took a couple of step back from where she was originally. Ava wasn’t sure if this girl was insensitive, a nut job, actually reasonable, or a combination of all three. “If you don’t mind me asking, exactly what kind of scene is it?

“and these fries aren’t so bad. if you give them the chance not to get cold.” he was referring to the fact that he had basically abandoned eating his own order to draw. “what would you say if i ordered two more for the two of us?”, he suggested, finally giving the waiter the cue he needed to move in on their table.
“I think that applies to food in general.” Ava, remembering why she came here in the first place, nodded. “If you’re willing to split the price with me, I don’t mind having fries.” She thought she imagined it at first, but it almost like she saw the Miles everyone knew back for a second.

May it be deliveries or all-nighters, her life was always in a stress-inducing chaotic order. She handled it just fine–until the shooting occured. Now Norah found herself distressed at every moment, tapping her pen furiously against the corner of the table. Nothing she’d studied that day had stuck in her mind at all. In frustration, she groaned. “Gah!”
For the first time, she felt like she was going to actually sleep instead of having more nightmares. It wasn’t like her to sleep in somewhere public but she needed it. At least nothing will bother her.
Then the tapping started. It didn’t slowly build up it, but instead went in for harsh tapping. It bothered her a bit, but slowly it actually helped sleep for a minute. Heavy eyelids were forced open at the sound of Norah groaning. “Looks like someone is having a hard day,” she joked, her voice groggy. “Ever heard of taking yourself out of stressful situations?”

his steps up the stairs slowed to a halt as he heard her words. his shoulders dropped and he turned, giving a disappointed sigh as he took a seat next to her. “great.” he muttered. his dad couldn’t have cared less about the town, or the shooting — or him. noel doubted his dad even knew that his son had been wounded. he shook his head, saying, “all i want is some peace and quiet.”
She felt awkward having to do a double take before realizing who it was. It wasn’t like her to judge books by their covers, but this felt different. Trying to take her mind off of it, Ava tried her best to see if there was something she could do.
“You and me both.” Not the best way to pass time, but it was one of the things she could think on the spot.

‘ Of course I wanted to go bungee jumping, but then I interned at a hospital. ’ She tried her best to refrain herself. Keyword: tried. “It doesn’t matter, there’s a lot of risk involved. Even if you picked out the safest place to bungee jump from, there is still a chance of getting injured.”

Well there was a first for everything and being asked to think of something outside of academia was one of them. “Me,” she asked, wondering if there was a joke that she missed. “Nothing I can think of. But I’m pretty sure most people are tired of feeling depressed all week.”
hey everyone, sorrry for being mia! I’ve been catching up on all of the hours of sleep i missed (thanks to a big ass legal studies paper, a proctored math placement test, aleks in general, and pretty much tuesday night and all of wednesday) but here i am! i’m replying to everyone quick and trying to interact with everyone else!
