Candice was given a wooden box just before midnight on New Year’s Eve and Johnny instructed her to not open it until she got to Japan, where she was traveling to wrestle.
She says 11 envelopes were inside the box with each containing a note and puzzle piece. She was told to open 1 per day, but after a week it became apparent there weren’t enough to complete the whole thing.
When she arrived back to the states and walked into their place it was filled with flowers, bubbles in the air, dozens of their pictures scattered about and more notes leading to the bedroom.
“There was a streamer attached to a big balloon that said ‘pull me’ and behind it was the missing puzzle piece. I turned around and he was suited up.” LeRae adds, “He said a bunch of sweet things to me. He then asked if I could see what was on the puzzle piece. I turned around to look at it and I told him, ‘I can’t tell. I’m too little and it’s too high.’ He said, ‘that’s ok.’ And when I turned around he was on one knee and popped the question.”
The ring was engraved inside with “Never Grow Up”
