okaaay so now that I am actually actively using this acc and post stuff more or less regularly - i do think it's time to make some kind of introduction post

So here is some stuff about me:

Hi, I'm Parys, I don't really care what pronouns you use for me and this blog is my way to scream into the void about my hyperfixations. Sometimes I write some stuff (and maybe if I feel confident enough I also draw something).

At the moment it's mostly stuff about german youtubers such as Zombey, die Buben or der FreedomSquad.

Was für sie kennen die fucking Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig nicht??? Was für „Nischenthemen“??? Omg, sie kennen das 200 Jahre alte Brötchen nicht!

Nischenthema ist so wild, es gibt dafür nen riesengroßes Denkmal mit Museum und es ist so lowkey ein wichtiges Ereignis im Geschichtsunterricht…

Ich weiß dass meine Schulzeit deutlich kürzer her ist als ihre, aber das ist schon anders wild. Okay maybe ists auch weil das Museum echt sehr cool war und ich deswegen ne stärkere Connection zu dem Thema habe. (Geht in das Museum wenn ihr die Chance habt btw)

Mir ist gerade aufgefallen dass Jonny vor 2 Tagen Geburtstag hatte…

Summary:

Die Bedrohung von ORI ist vorbei und das GHG-Team wieder vereint. Aber kann so ein Kampf an allen Beteiligten ohne Spuren vorbeigehen?

Und hier sind wir... Die Story, die einfach nicht nur in meinem Kopf bleiben wollte und in unter 48h von der Idee zur geposteten Story wurde.

Was alles so passieren kann, wenn man von zu vielen Emotionen getrieben wird. Noty ist absolut Schuld, mit seiner Pausen/Retirement Ankündigung...

Es geht hauptsächlich um die Mentor - Mentee Beziehung zwischen Basti und Marcel und ist wirklich bittersüß. Mich hats einige Taschentücher gekostet.

Findet nach "Das Wichtigste auf dem Server" statt, aber ist evtl. nicht ganz konsistent, aber das weiß ich noch nicht mal, weil ich ja nicht weiß, wohin mich die Main-Story noch entführt, haha.

Lasst mich doch gerne wissen, wie es euch gefallen hat :)

We write for ourselves, but we post for others.

(this came out of a conversation in the comments on a previous post about an author threatening to stop updating a fic because of lack of engagement)

So there’s this idea that fic writers should write for themselves and not care too much about stats or engagement,

and i totally get the sentiment behind that. if writing becomes entirely about stats and external validation, something important does get lost - creative freedom and joy, conviction in your own writing

but i also think:

“i write for myself, but i post for others.”

because posting fic is not only self-expression. it’s social. ao3 is called an archive, but emotionally it often functions as a community space.

people post for connection, for participation, for others to bear witness to their pain and trauma and grief,

and i don’t think most people are asking to be admired so much as acknowledged. there’s something deeply human about wanting another person to encounter something that mattered to you and go:

“ok, yeah, I see what you were trying to say. I see you.”

especially because fanfic is often people processing very real feelings through fictional characters at a safe distance, one step removed,

and then uploading that deeply personal thing into a shared archive and hoping somebody else might connect with it.

And i think that’s why it hurts so much when you summon up the courage and post a fic into the void and you get nothing back,

and then it’s like,

does anyone see me? does anyone even care?

#this is what i always tell myself #i write for myself #i don't do it for comments or reactions for others #but it's hard to stay motivated if you post something and you get bearly to no reaction #because yes - me posting my fanfiction is me trying to connect to the fandoms and finding people who share my interests #personal log

Für meine Streak hab ich gestern mir n random Moment rausgepickt, wo ich die State of Play von Zombey nachguck und ich hab reingejoined als er gerade gesagt hat:

"Ihr könnt in realtime dabei zusehen, wie eure Lieblingsyoutuber nach und nach alle Burnout kriegen."

Und...

Es is so real. Er meinte es am Beispiel Paluten (und sich selbst) - weil Palle macht ja momentan nix (deserved!!) Zombey versucht die Grenze zu waren, hat aber auch angedeutet, dass er iwann eine Pause machen wird. Außer GTA VI wird gedroppt.

Jetzt hab ich n Edit gesehen, dass Noty sich zurück zieht. Papaplatte macht ne Pause, Mienah macht ne Pause. Filow auch (altho der ja iwie bei Ikkimel und BBno$ auf Konzerten chillt).

Crazy times.
