Things will get better

One day there will be flowers and breakfast, movies nights and day trips. There will be “how was work dear” and “get home safely”. Coffee dates and best friend catch ups. There will be camping trips and spontaneous long weekends. You will find a job you love and a man you will love more than life itself. Kids faces will light up when you walk into a room and your heart will feel as though it will burst. Life may be dark and stormy now but trust me, it gets so much better.

I want to marry young, I have no fear in admitting it. I have seen too many family and friends lose the love of their lives too early that i want to spend as much time as i can embracing that i have found the one i want to spend my life with.

life is made of love stories.

Everyone dreams of their perfect love story but some of the most beautiful acts of love aren’t perfect and more often than not can be perfectly heartbreaking. This past week has shown me two complete opposites but both completely incredible love stories. Two of my best friends had the most incredible engagement on valentines day and it was amazing day of love and celebration of the start of their life together. They were surrounded by friends and family, the whole day was spent with everyone sharing tears of joy and laughter. On that same day later that night my Uncle was is his last stages battling cancer. He too was surrounded by family, friends but with tears of sadness, shinning through this was the love of his life beside his side as he was slipping away. They held each other lying in his hospital bed sharing their treasured memories of the years they had together and preparing their goodbyes. Such intense emotions of happiness and sadness but through both of these was the incredible displays of love. We are surrounded by love in our lives, as some spend years searching for it but already have it, whether it is with a partner, a sibling, a parent or a friend life is made of love stories. It may not always be pretty but dam it is worth it.
