Okay so this made me think of an old friend of mine who had a lot of trouble finding friends in college. He didn’t want his parents to worry so he lied and basically told his parents about acquaintances as if they were really close and said they would hang out and do stuff but he was actually just alone. And when he would be home from college he would pretend to go to movies but would actually just sit in the parking lot.

But yeah that feels like something Mel might do at a certain point bc she probably thought Langdon was gone forever and she so isolated at work and Becca was starting to worry so Mel just started making stuff up.

#my friend is doing really good now #it’s been a while since we talked but he’s graduated and moved out of the country and I see him posting with his new friend group #and I’m so happy for him that he has people #his found family rather #but I remember calling him bc I was having a really bad day and he was too and he told me about this and I felt so sad #I wish I could have done more but like we were both going through a lot and lived like 12hr drive apart

Whoever pointed out that Mel King’s S1 outfit being similar to Baran Al-Hashimi’s outfit in the S2 promo, as well as Mel’s S2 outfit possibly mimicking either Robby’s or Langdon’s (or another possible mentor from the Pitt - scrubs and a shirt isn’t uncommon but the color points to those two) is a fucking genius

I know it’s just one line in an article and it might not mean what we all think it means – but if Frank is going through a divorce and/or losing custody, I’m actually going to be disappointed.

I don’t know, the constant vilification of addicts just rubs me the wrong way. I just hate the message that addicts are not worthy of having fulfilled lives. And there’s no way for someone struggling with addiction, to be able to keep his loved ones and be cared for.

‘Of course Abby is divorcing her struggling addict husband, of course she’s taking custody of the kids (and dog.) Frank went to rehab, he’s not allowed to be a dad and husband – he’s broken!’

Like do you see what’s wrong with this??

They are going to take away Frank’s safe space (the hospital), his mentor, AND his family! It just seems cruel for no reason.

I’m hoping like in season 1, they don’t jump to stereotypes, and Frank’s story is honest to the reality – addiction is mental illness! We shall see…
