hey guys! so first of all i found this gif and ISN’T IT THE CUTEST?? well today i was on youtube then all the sudden an obviously fake “microsoft” help website said my laptop was “blocked” they told me to call a number so i brought it down to my mom and she said, “this is totally fake but im gonna call them anyway and see what they are trying to do” so im like, okay whatever mom i wouldn’t get involved but okay.. so she called, and it was a CLEARLY fake guy who was indian and he was asking all this personal stuff about my laptop.. so my mom was just like, “oh i was oovooing with a friend and this popped up, PLEASE HELP ME!!” like she was clearly goofing around. so she then asked him if he really worked for microsoft and he gave her a trustworthy ‘YES!” (wow i would sooo believe that) and my mom FREAKING BELIEVED HIM! so i got really worried to this point and he made my mom DOWNLOAD FILES THAT MY LAPTOP SAID WERE VIRUSES AND UNKNOWN and i kept telling her to click no and just hang up but she said, “i swear to god if you say one more word..” and im just almost crying at this point no joke.. THEN.. THE MOUSE THING ON THE SCREEN STARTED MOVING ON ITS OWN AND CLICKING STUFF AND DOWNLOADING STUFF AND I FREAKED OUT (well in my head bc if i did in real life my mom would kill me) and then it started scrolling through this hacker-looking thing at fucking speed of light and it typed, “trosan virus found” which its TROJAN not TROSAN!! and then once he asked for her to pay a bill to them she said, “fucker” WHICH I NEVER HEARD MY MOTHER SAY and hung up and i cried. so my mom said, “I SPENT 700 DOLLARS ON THAT AND NOW IT’S GONNA BE BROKEN!” and i said, “mom i was just oovooing with my friend and then it popped up, i wasn’t downloading anything or on any shady websites!” and she was all like “try to ex the page out” so i did and the page said if i exed out it would shut down my computer. and wowee i thought it would shut down my laptop! it didn’t. so we are calling microsoft and getting this fixed and getting REAL security on it.
