Can you believe that I almost dropped the cyans and greens from this set in favor of pure blue? To do this, I would've had to remove (Yak's) yellow from the base colors. Luckily I remembered the wise words of @respectthepetty #the colors mean things

Dee's fake blue (Petty, YOUR MIND!!!) is all up and through this set. He is putting up one hell of fight, but he does falter at times which is shown when scenes lean more cyan (his fake blue + Yak's yellow). If we were to take it a step further and factor in how cyan is made (a combination of blue and green (i.e. blue + yellow), so blue times 2), Dee is throwing hands left, right, and center in this fight (all of Yak's coaching is really paying off :'D). But despite his efforts, he sometimes falls deeper and is flanked by green in those moments when Yak's yellow is strongest and he almost gives in to his true feelings in the midst of the fake-ness.

Needless to say, I am absolutely living and cannot wait to see how this goes. Because from the very beginning, whether it’s in Dee's true purple-magenta or fake blue, Yak has been fully immersed and present in the moments they share. His heart does belong to Dee, and he's made his choice whether he knows it or not. It is now up Dee to own up to his feelings and make his.

No but Dee is still reeling from Ter gaslighting him into thinking he read all Ter's actions wrong for EIGHT YEARS. He thought that man liked him back so he got up the courage to make a move and got told that he had imagined it all. That man made him feel like a delusional idiot loser. A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AGO. Mere weeks. OF COURSE he's gonna be wary of reading too much into whatever Yak is doing in their weird little situationship, especially when Yak has been explicit that he likes Taem and wants to pursue her. It is in fact the only explicit thing Yak has said about his feelings. As to what it will take to shift the needle, Dee either has to be ready to risk that kind of devastation a second time in a row in a short time span, or he has to know definitively that Yak 1) loves him 2) wants to be with him and 3) DOESN'T WANT TO BE WITH TAEM (yes these are three different things).

Extremely fake dating of them to rush to be at each other's side and then specifically pull him into a private space to show affection and confirm your support for each other and that you missed each other when you were apart. Very fake dating.

Soooo... Yak is completely obsessed with Dee's grandma and would rather hang out with Dee instead of Taemrak and her friends after helping him at the hospital - but they're just "fRiEnDs WiTh BeNeFiTs?" 😉

Yak has no idea.

Seriously.

Yak is not looking at this and actually thinking about his feelings. He's acting on instinct and love and affection and this need to belong and to be cuddled and snuggled and comforted.

Yak is in love and he's so tender but he's not ready to face that. He's not ready to face that he loves Dee because he thinks he's supposed to keep loving Taemrak.

Dee has enough insight and a good friend in Plakao that prevents him from living in that land of denial and ignorance while Yak just doesn't have that. Yei and Cher don't push him like that. They just tease him lightly.

But Yak is in for a harsh reality when he finally makes the connection that dating Taemrak loses him this comfort and this closeness. Because it's going to take him apart.

(And what is Dee going to do when Ter admits his own feelings and tries to convince him that they can do more? How much is that going to hurt? And how much does that hurt versus his hopeless love for Yak who is using his advice to try and date Taemrak? What is the lesser of evils for Dee, the man so deep in the closet he didn't know his own feelings or the man who's so loving but actually loves someone else?)

I think Yak has forgotten that if he actually pursues Taemrak he will have to stop doing this with Dee. Like... it just doesn't occur to him that dating Taemrak would remove this from his life. He's got them so compartmentalized that he doesn't even realize what it would mean and that's rough when you consider how aware Dee is of everything this means.
