I'm not freaking about Javadi being on a different rotation *yet* because I see the possibilities:

Javadi constantly being called down for psych evals on patients and pushing back on the ER trying to shove cases at them.

Psych patients having medical emergencies in the psych department and Javadi having to be awesome.

Santos and Javadi arguing whether something is an emergency case or a psychiatric case bc neither wanna deal with charting it.

Javadi calling Robby out with Caleb being her hype man.

Javadi joining the street team with Dennis and giving Santos shit bc she doesn't have a cool jacket.

Javadi running a group for doctor's or nurses (!!!)

And most importantly, Cassie feeling less weird about going after that cookie bc Javadi isn't her subordinate anymore.

Possible unpopular opinion:

We need more scenes with McKay and Santos. Not in a shipping sense, but a mentorship sense.

Hear me out.

First impressions are everything. Al-Hashimi did not leave a good one with Santos, glaringly so. Collins is gone. Mohan is gone. I'm thinking they are going to nurture the fledgling "friendship" between herself and King. Besides, Santos is only 1 year behind her.

And we all know about Langdon.

That really only leaves McKay. I think it's an entirely slept on dynamic:

- McKay is a natural teacher.

- She is patient, kind, nurturing, and knowledgeable. AND won't hesitate to call you out on your shit.

- Santos appears to not respond well to authority figures in general, and (most?) men in particular.

- She loves medicine and it is so obvs she's chomping at the bit to learn, to be taught, to be guided. To be taken under someone's wing. Most importantly, to be taken seriously.

- Once Santos ditches her initial prickly demeanor, I think their energies would complement each other exceedingly well.

- Santos needs to trust someone. Have someone to look up to. To me, McKay is the most stable person in that ER. She fits the bill better than anyone else there.

This is just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could go on lol.

How many scenes have they worked together on a case? I bet less than 5 between 2 seasons 😲

That is a missed opportunity if I ever saw one.

Hear me out, what if The Pitt keeps distilling down to "man this Robby cat is an asshole" instead of showing us all these brilliant moments of Samira and Santos and everyone else because it's a metaphor for how toxic masculinity is killing health care in this country.

Sure, we'd love to show you the racial disparities study, but we can't bc some toxic asshole cut the funding.

We'd love to show you how the power of friendship and love heals providers but we can't because our providers are getting ground into dirt.

We're focusing on Robby because he represents the core problem with American individualism: being told repeatedly that only you can fix the problem and then being shamed when you can't fix it. It's uncomfortable and rage baiting at times but they're holding up a mirror.

Or maybe Noah Wyle really is a dick and they're hiring women of color just to fire them. Only time will tell.
